It’s another beautiful day in Shanghai, China’s most populated urban city and third most populated city IN THE WORLD with over 24 million people living here. After exploring this epic city for the first time in the last video, we got hit with the biggest typhoon in Shanghai since 1949 (it was NO JOKE)... but luckily, the storm cleared and the sun is back out in full force! We’ve got an amazing day planned in Shanghai followed by an exciting day trip to Suzhou, a smaller but still HUGE city here in China. Suzhou is known for its canals, bridges and classical gardens full of history, and is only a quick 30 minutes away by high-speed rail.

Hi from Los Angeles, Cali. I have been checking out most of your China tour videos. You guys are doing a fantastic job putting them together. This latest one is epic, to say the least. 06:49 That’s exactly how Shanghai and China maintain their homeland. There possibly are some natural disasters, but most of time people feel nothing on the next day. How can you not like place like this? Correct way to have fry dumpling: Small bite on the skin, sip the soup, then have the rest of it.

@@2Passports1Dream Fun to watch and very informative, I learned more about my own country from your videos. Your next stop Xi’an is very special, so much history to see there. I started to pick up interest in history after my visit to Xi’an 10+ years ago. My favorite spot there is the Forest of Stone Tablets, but I guess it’s not easy for foreigners to fully appreciate its historical and cultural value due to language and cultural barriers.

Loving the china series…I’ve always been scared to go there because its a bit foreign to me, even though I’m of Chinese decent. Best way to eat those dumplings (as everyone says), is to bite a corner off first to let the “soup” and steam come out. Also the thing you ate at the restaurant where you got sprayed with dumpling juice isn’t actually a moon cake, i think thats a xian bing (puff pastry meat “pie”)…either way still incredible tasty 😊 mooncakes are much more dense and are usually eaten at festivals 😊 enjoy the rest of your time in shanghai!

It was so funny to watch the juice from the bun squirt out as you took a big bite; by now, you both have probably learned to take smaller bites when eating in China. Traditionally, we love to eat hot food. The burning wooden stick you saw at Jingan Temple is called a sense burner, or "Xiang" in Chinese, and is used for burning incense in religious ceremonies, rituals, or aromatic purposes. The outfits the girls were wearing in the Suzhou garden are traditional hanfu, the clothing worn in ancient China centuries ago. Young people enjoy dressing up in traditional settings for photos.
