Hey Denise…. Sorry to hear your scan results aren’t good. Vancouver was beautiful! My cousin lives there. Glad you got to chill out for a while. Keeping you in my 🙏😘
Thanks so much, Michelle. I feel lucky because I have a loving family that supports me and doesn't let me get too full of myself. Just got back from camping and grand kids hugs have got me back on track.
Thanks Anne. Just got home from a two day camping trip and I didn't even think about cancer once. It was so peaceful and fun being with the little grand kidlets.
Thank you for sharing your special little getaway to see family. I haven't been to Sidney since I was a teenager on family vacation there. I sure miss BC. I even miss the Ferry rides :) I'm sorry about your CT results, that's disappointing but I'm sure the oral chemo will knock it back down. You and your videos are such a joy, I always look forward to them. Sending you hugs and prayers from Alberta :)
Thanks so much. Heading out that way the end of July. My daughter lives in Edmonton and we have family in Calgary plus a friend in Drayton Valley. Busy summer ahead and I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about the new drugs and how well we will travel with them.
Wow! Those gardens on Victoria Island were lovely especially the roses. 🌹 You have a great attitude Denise, we could take a leaf out of your book and live life to the fullest. So difficult to leave our doggies at home when we go away ❤ Sending love ❤️
Thanks Susane. The trip away made me realize how much I miss my hospital bed for comfort. I think I am happiest on a camping trip where we stay in our camper van because it has all the familiar creature comforts. I had to have DNA testing done on Monday before they start me on the oral Chemo drug. Tense times.
Glad to know that TH-cam is putting some money into your pocket! It had to be hard to hear about your latest scan results ... but with the use of some different chemo drugs, perhaps that will slow things down. Wishing for only the best on that front. Your trip looked fabulous. Wow, the shots you took of that garden were really magical. I know what you mean about having a difficult time leaving Roxie home. I always felt terrible when we would leave our last dog--our little Pomeranian--with his dog sitter. Even thought I knew she was taking great care of him, I still missed him. Our current little Boo Radley hasn't been away from us yet. I was thinking about leaving him with a sitter when we go back to Michigan for 2 week at the end of the summer, but my husband said he has to come with us! Boo Radley will be our first dog ever to ride with us on a plane. Hope we don't live to regret that decision!
Well, Ann. You won't know how Boo Radley does on a plane until he takes his first flight. Roxie is horrid in the car. She won't relax and gets the shakes. We are taking a long trip with our little motor home the end of July and I am having mixed feelings about it because of her shakes. May give her a mild sedative (or maybe I should have one!). Anyway, I start the chemo in a couple of weeks and hope for the best. Right now I feel good.
Denise, thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous pictures from your mini vacation with your family. You remind me of some of my relatives from Canada. Sending 🙏🙏to you.
Wheelchair accessible rooms are always a hoot to observe 😊 High beds are oh so hard. I don’t know if they ever will get it! The trip looked just lovely. Your family so wonderful to see. The food looked divine. I am sad for you about your CT results. But your smile assures me you will do very well with your positive attitude. You are in my prayers! Keep having fun! Enjoy your TH-cam $100!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed your mini vacation. I agree, sometimes just a change of scenery does a world of good! I hope you're doing well. Congrats on the $100!!
Aww Roxy is such a sweetheart. I’ve had to leave my little dog Flossy with my Som whilst I went away for a 3 night break. I really enjoyed myself but I missed her so much I had to have regular updates so I am with you on that 😊 what a lovely little break you had. Some beautiful sights. Thank you for sharing ❤
Yeah Tammy. I'm worried the same will happen to me when I go on the chemo drug next month. Just when things seemed stabilized, too. I don't need another nap. I need to play more!
🥀🤩🥀 Wow, you earned $100.00...That's quite an accomplishment, dear one! 🥀🤩🥀 I love your mantra "I'm going to keep living until I die"...You've inspired me to do the same, Denise! 🥀🥳🥀 Your getaway was spectacular! I'm honored to be a part of a community led by such a dear sweet soul...
Thank you so much Ellen. We got home and immediately grabbed our camper van for a lake front camping getaway with family. I didn't even think about cancer once and it was so quiet and peaceful where we were.
I'll continue to keep you in my prayers. I'm going to share the following verses: "It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart." Ecclesiastes 7:2 (KJV) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 (KJV) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19 (KJV) "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" John 11 25:26 (KJV) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (KJV)
