    The kids seemed very comfortable with “the man” which makes me think it would’ve been someone they would’ve known maybe a family friend or a parent of a classmate.

      if a family friend, I think the man would've had a name, could've been a parent, but also could've been someone grooming them over a period of time on the beach trips.

      Or because no one heard the 3 kids and the man having a conversation he could have been threatening them and telling them to act normal so he wouldn't get caught. And depending on the threat the kids could have been scared and went along with it. However this is just my theory

    This made me cry, not only because I live in Australia so it feels quite close to home but those parents are in their 90’s and still don’t know where their 3 children are. I was a child in the late 60"s early 70's. From the time I could ride my bike I could go where I wanted. We lived in a town of about 2,000. The rule was, when it got dark I was to be home. This era was very different. I can't recall a story of an abducted and/or murdered child as a child. Please don't use today's culture to judge these parents. They probably have tortured themselves and each other sufficiently over the years.

    • @ThunderStruck15
      @ThunderStruck15 4 ปีที่แล้ว +175

      D Ro fun fact, the murder and kidnapping rates were astronomical back in the age you were speaking of. Often they were called “run aways.” This rate (and unsurprisingly the “run away” rate) has gone dramatically down because people don’t have this attitude anymore.

      Um.. Adelaide is the murder capital of Australia. The oval abductions had happened in Adelaide in the early 70s. I don't agree with "different time" BS. My mother grew up in the early 60s England and it was horrendously unsafe.

    • @sheenaalexis8710
      @sheenaalexis8710 4 ปีที่แล้ว +150

      Julz XD you are misunderstanding. When people say, it was a different time they don't mean, there was no or much less crime in general. There was just as much crime the difference is the media and internet etc..without the extreme media of today, you heard of such crimes MUCH less or not at all. Therefore it felt much safer. So they all lived their lives differently because of it...it was different wether you want to believe it or not. But it's mostly because of the absence of the internet and extreme media sources.

    • @onefineday111
      @onefineday111 4 ปีที่แล้ว +54

      I grew up in the 90's and even then it was the same. We were out all day, we had to be home by dark. I would walk a km to my friends houses, we'd be out all day. And like you I don't remember a single case of anyone getting kidnapped. That's not to say it didn't happen, but it wasn't as though people were watching their back. Yes it was a different time, the way people looked after their kids was different back then. So people who weren't around then and have different experiences growing up can't really call someone a bad parent for doing what everyone did back then. Maybe it's not what a lot of people would consider ideal by today's standards, but it wasn't due to bad parenting.

    i live near Glenelg in Adelaide and I personally think their kidnapper was someone they knew. There is a story (could be true, could not be true, who knows) that the 3 children were given a certain amount of money to catch the bus/tram to the beach and back. but apparently they spent their bus money on ice cream and didn't have enough $$$ to get home. locals seem to believe that the kidnapper was a friend or acquaintance of the childrens parents, therefore the children felt comfortable in speaking to this man because he wasn't a stranger. when this 'man' saw them waiting and when they told him they had no money, he offered them a ride home, but actually abducted them. this would explain why there was no leads around suspicious activity. because they would have willingly followed him or gotten into his car. if this is true, I personally think police should have spent more time looking at family and friends instead of strangers. after all, they did come from a small down outside of the suburbs.

      Yeah , I know nothing of the family or the case till this video , however , just based on everything that was said and how it sounded , I assumed it was a family friend or acquaintance that the kids trusted . It wouldn’t make sense for someone to be able to abduct 3 middle aged kids easily otherwise .. maybe one but not all 3 .

    • @christiegroves
      @christiegroves 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Statistically people who go missing are murdered w/in 5 miles of their home at least from my research in Human Remains. They can be driven off and buried elsewhere but usually murdered w/in that 5 mile radius. Seems like it would be hard to do with so many children but who knows what lore this person told the children to get them to be still for them. Very sad. I can't believe it's still unsolved. Which leads me to another unpopular theory in my mind, remember Andrea Yates she killed all her children here in the US, could the Mother have done this and covered it up? IDK, just a theory. But many suspects here at play. I still hope they find them someday, I wonder how far the Garbage Dump was from Harry's house? So many people in the Dumps we can't find do to lack of regulations in the old day's.

Harry frightened children in the street and my grandparents warned my mum and her siblings never to speak to Harry or even walk on his side of the street because he lives to take children and hurt them. Harry was a heavy drinker and was seen by several people that day at the beach right beside these three beautiful kids,but the police done nothing about him because apparently he didn’t fit the description due to his age but if you were to meet this man you would just get this cold feeling you just know it was him

Even his own son claims seeing the children in his backyard. I believe that he murdered them and buried them somewhere that he never told anyone. I really hope that the parents get some closure and that this case doesn’t go unsolved forever.

We play outside and don’t worries about strangers because we were so many children at that time, that was natural for us. Everyone was a guardian and neighbour know who every children belong too. As someone from Adelaide, I have a lot of thoughts on this. A boy who was a victim of Munroe's has testified saying that the children were located on a property a few hours away that belonged to his father and that Munroe killed them and forced him to hep bury them. The father is now deceased and the boy's siblings are refusing to let the property be excavated. That factor always interested me.

      @@stephsmanicshenanigans8017 I just find it fascinating to hear what they claimed happened. It's a overall interesting story but I agree its probably a tourist trap. Amityville was completely a hoax but most people believe it happened because of the overall story. I personally don't believe in almost any haunting or paranormal experience people have but I do find them fascinating to listen too. That's why I think it would make a good video, the overall "experience" and story these people have to tell.

      @@nelsonkaiowa4347 That's exactly the point, a psychic exploits people in their most desperate moments (from validating psychotic breakdowns to promising grieving families to speak to their loved ones one more time) to make some quick easy money from temporarily gullible customers.
      The comment was probably critising the Psychic themself and not necessarily those who spend money on psychics. If selling hope & validation to those in desperate situations wasn't a profitable business model then Psychics wouldn't exist.

    Thank you so much for covering this!! This case is still talked about all the time in Australia, there was actually a related kidnapping in the early seventies (if I remember correctly- maybe late 70's?) from Adelaide Oval during an Australian Rules Football match which has been linked and is widely believed to have been the same perpetrator. My parents were the same age as the middle Beaumont child at the time they disappeared and though both mine were in Sydney they say the disappearance totally changed the way children were parented in Australia. Parents felt less safe sending their kids to walk to school or go into town to run errands, and I think the fact the kid's bodies have never been found still hangs over Australians like a dark cloud. Thanks for bringing this to international attention!

    As a mom, I never let it go if I see something strange going on around kids. ALWAYS speak up, ask "hey do you know these kids?" Or ask the kids "do you know this person? Where's your mom or dad?" Or just a simple "I'm keeping an eye on you because I've got some doubts". Always keep your guard up.
