    No one is perfect. You aren't screwing up dear. You are living the life of an imperfect human and it does help us other imperfect humans realize we aren't perfect either.     Hey friend, I came on your channel to let you know that I made the decision this week to stop taking Wegovy. I know it’s not a coincidence that you were releasing a video at the same time. It sucks what you are going through with your family right now. You do need to give yourself grace. You are correct that our lives are more than just about losing weight. You have nothing more to prove because you’ve already proven you can lose weight. Losing over 100lbs is no joke. Whatever you’ve gained, you will lose again. As for me, I can’t take the nausea, constipation and the daily hangover feeling. My family is fully supportive and for that I’m appreciative. I’m going to take the 27lb weight loss that Wegovy gave me and run with it. I know it won’t be easy with the food noise returning, but I’m going to do it. I will check in on you from time to time. I’m praying for you. Valerie.

      How long have you been taking Wegovy? I’ve been on it 1 yr 4 months. I’ve lost 35 lbs but need to lose another 30. My experience was that i had indigestion and diarrhea up until month 10 then it stopped. BUT the food noise sorta comes back too, even while on Wegovy. In four months I’ve only lost 2 lbs.

      @@christymaffei6748 Hi. I was on it for 3 months. I could only tolerate the .50 dosage. It worked great on me as far as an appetite suppressant. I also had indigestion pretty bad too with a lot of sulfur burps. I did lose 27lbs but the side effects were more than I could handle.

    Mindy … I have gone through times like this.
    What I’ve learned is that when I accepted my down depressed time that lasts a while, stopping beating myself up for natural emotions, made this not so great time disappear much sooner. So accept and stop negative. Just float through it.

    I have been watching you for about 9 months of so now - I started my own Mounjaro journey in November (for diabetes primarily) and your videos have helped me sooo much. I love your recipes and your trips to the grocery store and so much about your personality. I am so sorry you are hurting. I had a rough week like that last week (and I posted on my channel about it) I gained a pound and was just kicking myself (I started at 311lbs and I'm down to 270lbs but man oh man that teensy little gain about wiped me out) You are so loved Mindy but I know it's hard to be kind to ourselves - I understand how tough it is to give ourselves grace.     Mindy, this must have been a difficult video to film but I do really resonate with what you’re going through and what you’ve said. I’ve had a very tough year (depressive episode, loose dog attack, and a cancer scare at 33) and I fell off my health life style every time and gained weight back. Ironically what I learned from the cancer scare was not how I “need” to be healthy, but how hard I am on myself. My therapist telling me I need to be self compassionate ten thousand times finally sunk in. Self compassion isn’t letting yourself off the hook, it’s being understanding that a “step back” is part of the process and you didn’t fail. Let yourself go through what you’re going through.     We are so hard on ourselves. We don’t know how to be any different. But just know that what you’re feeling and doing is normal. What I like to say to myself is “ your exactly where you are suppose to be right at this very moment.     Ive lost 110lbs so far. I have another 20lbs to lose and ive been on MJ 14wks. I have BED and when im stressed or overwhelmed i turn to food n get depressed, but as a diabetic i try not to reach for sugary muffins or icecream i grab myself sausage. I understand how u feel.     You are not a failure. Forgiving our own impections is always the hardest thing to do. Life would be boring if we were all perfect. Sometimes in life we just need to experience the hard times and accept what we are feeling and that we are struggling. It helps us to appreciate the good times more. We will always struggle and rebound. The only mistake is giving up and stopping trying. Let yourself feel the pain and hurt and rebound when you are ready.     Mindy, you have been an inspiration to so many of us. When life hits us in the stomach, or the rug gets pulled from underneath us, it’s very normal for our brains to want to go back to old habits to protect and comfort us. Just remind yourself that this is your habit brain that is telling you to give up or to eat off plan or to not take care of yourself. Sometimes we have to talk back to our habit brains and tell it that by continuing to take care of myself I am making myself physically, mentally and emotionally healthier and stronger , and this will enable me to provide better support to my loved one who is going through life or death health challenges. It’s ok for me to take care of myself so I can be better to love and support others. You got this sweet heart. I am very sorry you and your loved one is going through this.

    Oh sweet girl, Sharing is caring, and you have so much caring inside you 💞 I have had loses of parents and friends and have mourned. It is depressing and contributes to our deeper depression but does not mean we have failed. It means you have a heart and love. It has nothing to do with your successes not being real, or that you don't deserve something because this happened to them. We can't change someone else health conditions, but we can be sad for them, pray for them, love and help them as much as possible. You have inspired so many in your journey and have been brave to share every moment of it. We will all go through these ups and downs with life. I pray you don't find fault in yourself and find your heart of love that you help in any way you can. somedays going through the motions is all you can do, and it takes a lot of effort to go the motions until these lifts. Yes, give yourself grace and search your feelings to embrace them.

    Absolutely give yourself grace during this time. My dad was in hospital for several weeks then came home to my house to die, which happened within days mid july until this day has been a struggle every day. Its difficult but know that we can do difficult things. Keep moving even if you move slower. Keep eating healthier choices even if its not your optimal choice. Doing your best today may look different than your best did on another day. That. is. ok. Life is hard and sometimes it takes us a minute to do more than just a minute at a time. I get it. Its important to not to forget to take care of yourself in the midst of the feels. Thats hard when that isnt our strong suit. Doing the small nonnegotiable things helps keep us in practice. Sometimes self care is brushing our teeth -and thats ok temporarily just dont live there long term. We love ya Mindy girl! Hugs and prayers for you.

    Just continue from where you are one day at a time, one healthy meal and one step at a time until you're back on track. You sound like me, but I'm learning beating ourselves up does not help. You are wonderful just as you are. The goal is to be just wonderful and healthier.

    Sending you lots and lots of hugs. If there’s anything that I would encourage you to focus on is feeling the feeling related to the stress and processing those things because us wanting to dig into food.
    It’s just a symptom of a deeper emotional issue that we’re trying to fulfill, praying for you and encouraging you to definitely take some time to journal your thoughts related to the tough time that you had and making sure that you deal with that.
    Sometimes us beating ourselves up about the symptom of digging into food is a little bit easier and familiar than dealing with the feelings related to what caused the stress in the first place .
    Rooting for you! You did great by talking it out, showing up for yourself.

    First video I can relate to. For me, I think it should be the easiest thing, losing weight, it's not. I've been on mounjaro 6 weeks and have no appetite suppressant yet!!. If I'm down, I eat. 😢 we see all these videos of everyone succeeding, it's not the big picture. Keep going, it's a marathon not a sprint ❤❤

    Lady, let's not call coping during a very difficult time "failing." You know better than most that life and diet has its ups and downs and a sustainable way to to be a healthier person is to indulge when needed, don't dwell on it, and get back on track when you're ready. Please take care of you right now and don't worry about what others will think. We appreciate your transparency and the update as we'd be worried about you if you hadn't after you mentioned family concerns in your last video but you also need to put you first. Life can be messy sometimes and it's perfectly okay to feel your feels. I know there's probably not much we can do to help but please don't hesitate to ask if there's anything we can do to help lift your spirits. I'm a firm believer of building a community of people who lift each other up rather than tearing each other down. Take care and we'll be here when you're ready.

    Have you heard of Mindfulness and loving-kindness practices? You don't HAVE to be positive. You don't have to be stuck in that cycle of dumping a ton of shame and scolding on top of a perceived 'failure'. It helped me to finally lose the weight but more importantly to CHANGE my whole relationship with eating. Even when I 'mucked up'!

    Remember this. 1) You aren’t perfect; you are a human who has trials and tests. 2) We don’t expect you to be perfect. If people leave messages saying otherwise, they need to look in the mirror and admit their own faults and failures. 3) You are not a failure and are not a disappointment to those following you for encouragement. YOU’VE LOST OVER 120 LBS.
    As you said, give yourself grace. Remember your successes. Make that meal plan and follow it. Pray for God’s help in climbing back up and continue putting one foot in front of the other towards your goal. 🙏❤️🙏👏👏👏

    It's so hard being kind to ourselves! Why? Do we measure up differently than our loved ones? Yes, no, maybe. Guess we feel that we have to be perfect, cause people are watching us, evaluating us, judging us! First of all, God is the only perfect one. But, we are His creation. And..he loves us. Stop what you are doing, walk your dog, see a sunset, smell the flowers. Take your mind off of you, and put it on your blessings. You have come so far, your smile radiates beauty. We love and need you. You are real. Be gracious to yourself. Breathe deeply, and reboot!

    Mindy, I feel like maybe you have forgotten about the effect your family issue was/is having on you. I know that when Im overwhelmed with stress and/or sadness I will completely shutdown and do nothing..... except eat and sleep. So, my friend, you must FIRST deal with the first big issue which is your family and their health and walk through that before addressing your eating etc. Im so proud of you for contacting your therapist to talk some of it out, but I also feel like a short term antidepressant (or a different one if you are already taking one) could really help you get your head back on your shoulders and get you through this crisis time, and Im sure your therapist recommended it as well. PLEASE consider it. It has helped me through so many crisis situations. Also keep in mind that only YOU can determine if what you are going through feel like a crisis or not. Just because you think that others wouldnt consider it so, doesnt mean that it isnt for you. Hugs.... HUGE hugs Mindy girl, you WILL get through this one just like all the others. Its up to you how hard you make it for yourself. Be a good friend to Mindy.

    Hey there beautiful friend 🤍 please show yourself some love. That is part of the journey too. Life will always throw us obstacles but you will recover and heal. A couple of difficult weeks or months even don’t define you. It’s what you do to move though things and feel the emotions which is new for most of us. All you can is do your best and forget the rest.     I’m a bit older than you and one thing I have come to realise is that life will always have its ups and downs. For some of us it’s more downs than ups, which sucks.
    Another thing I’ve come to realise which might help you a bit at this time. Is that on this medication you are not on a diet. You are in a new way of living.
    In this way of living, like a” normal” person, there will be times when you over eat for many reasons but as this is now your life, you will return to your new normal way of eating and thus, the journey will continue
    I know it’s hard but please don’t beat yourself up. You are human and you reacted to stress in the way that your body and mind are programmed to react to stress. The difference with us being on this medication, at least for me, is that once the immediate stressor has finished, you can turn around and eat your normal food again and basically get back on the horse.
    What people who are not like us don’t understand is that we are our own worst critics and our internal critics say the most horrible things to ourselves. I also saw a therapist for many years and she helped me to lessen the effect of my internal critic but she is still there, Telling me I’m not good enough and that of course (insert bad thing) happened to me because I deserved it.
    Try to shut her up and climb back up on that horse even if it’s a Clydesdale and so a long way up. The view is much better from up there and you might be able to look to the future more easily.

    Doing this video in itself is a battle won. It took a lot of courage to do. You are living life and there will continue to be battles but the fact that you are here and you recognize the struggle will give you tools to cope when the next challenge in life that happens. You are on a life log journey and unfortunately there are going to be challenging times but how you handle this challenge will give you strength and knowledge on how to handle the next one. Write down how you feel and why you feel this way and how you reacted. Once you pull yourself out of this you can note how you rose to the opportunity to learn and take the very advice you give others, grace. In fact when it is all over you might even react the same way to the next challenge but that's OK because you know how you will react and be at peace with it. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life journey.

    I’ve finally found that if I have brunch at 11 am with protein tiny bit of cheese and vegetables only, that I don’t cave in to snacking and by 5 pm, I have a similar meal with meat, salad and a bit of fruit and bread or half a potato that I’m good until the next morning. Oatmeal, cereals and chips make me hungry all day long.

      I can't get enough calories in throughout the day if I don't eat at least 3 meals. Most days even with 3 meals and a dessert I'm below my calorie goal by 100-400 calories. 😳

      @carollynt 1700 calories is the recommended deficit set by my dietician. Anything less than that would negatively impact my metabolism and hormones and result in a higher loss of muscle mass.

    I would like to send you prayers, prayers for guidance and strength. No one has ever prepared for bad news and will wear on a weight loss journey. It takes a toll on us because everyone grieves or or takes sadness in differently. Some of us eat some of us just stay in bed there is no wrong way to process bad news or grieving, yes you do need to give yourself grace I pray that God gives you strength and know that you’re not alone that you may not know us but we’re here for you. Thank you for sharing your story always and for your candor because you show us is real life. It’s not about losing weight. It’s not about looking good. It’s about what we go through in the process of life And for some of us, it’s a struggle.     Honey,quit beating yourself up. You have had a stressful time and so you didnt do your best. We've all been there. Try ,try to pick yourself up ,dust yourself off,accept that you are only human,then move on!! You can do it! ❤️❤️

    The main thing is remember that you were there for your family and it's normal to be and to handle things in a different way when they're stressed and sadness one thing that you might think is crazy for me to say but you could take two or three days this week to get up and put on some of those clothes you used to wear and just see how far you've come as I say this too shall pass remember we love you God loves you more and the world would be a terrible place without you in it

    Mindy, please know that those of us who watch your channel regularly are inspired by your ENTIRE journey... both the wins, and the setbacks, because it's real and honest. Personally, I love that you don't proport to have some "perfect" weightless journey, because if you did, it would be far less interesting.     Staying off carbs will help; it is proven to help.

      I appreciate the suggestion but I'm not interested in an unsustainable approach. All carbs means no fruit or veggies either and that's just not healthy. I don't have any food sensitivities so no reason to avoid them. I've been able to eat them moderately for over 2 years and still lose weight... this has far more to do with my emotional state right now... which will improve with time. 💜

    I was 310 pounds and now I’m 150 pounds and a bodybuilder. I had to do A LOT of therapy to get to my goals. I’m sorry you’re struggling.
