    This is one of the best in-depth reviews of this bike. Very detailed, takes its time describing the bike's features. Awesome job! Please continue your great job sir.

    You can have an additional center stand if you just choose the option when ordering the CE 04.

    thanks for your honesty - you have to be buying tthis for the sole reason it's electric there ain't many places to go only 25 miles from home.

      I wanted to like it.But can't get over the 15k price tag and limited range. Maybe one day. But can't wait until it's in the used market for dirt cheap. The BMW i3 electric was a 50k car that you can now get for 15k.

    9:58 The battery is flat and at the bottom. It is between the radiator (behind front wheel) and the engine (in front of rear wheel).
    18:44 U can't compare it to small scooters or bikes. It accelerates like a Yamaha TMax, and so it costs the same.
    I have one, and so I've said no to every regular motorcycle for 12grand...

    There's chargers every where and hooning it to 75 definitely won't help range but i think it's worth it especially if you realize how far 80 miles is

    • @VehicleHunter
      @VehicleHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Chargers are nice. But you still have to wait for a charge. If you don’t have a charger at home for your commute a electric vehicle is very inconvenient

    • @uutube243
      @uutube243 ปีที่แล้ว

      In vegas 90% of charges don’t work. Zero infrastructure to support any level of electric vehicles. Yes if you own a house and can install a level 2 charger problems solved.

      Unless fuel is astronomical in the u.s. i can't see this scooter being a hit. It feels likea rich mans toy. In europe per gallon is $6.5 and that would make sense. I prefer the electric car movement to the motorcycles. Motorbikes need to have some range where you can go into the woods without fear of charging. @@uutube243

    I have to wonder if electric just works better in scooter mode due to having the ability to store the batteries lower and maybe even easily store more of them.

    • @VehicleHunter
      @VehicleHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are right, the scooter form works well to carry batteries. THis scooter might end up being a hit in Europe. But in the American market i just don't see it.

      @Romiman1 ปีที่แล้ว

      In France it is sold very well. More than 5000 were sold in 2022 (in Germany only about 550). I also have one and love it very much. It's only real issue is the uncomfortable bench.

    • @VehicleHunter
      @VehicleHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can see it being successful in Europe. Until gas in the U.S. gets to the point it is there I don't think it will do well here.@@Romiman1

      @@VehicleHunter Yes. And the distances are also an issue. Most of my* destinations, I'm doing frequently with the CE 04, are about 20-25mls away from home, so the 75mls-range works fine to me.

    Hi,
    Would you mind sharing where did you get your rear mount bracket for the helmet box?
    Thank you
    By the way nice video👍🏻

      Under and at rear end of the bench.

    Who is this for? I've been confused about this as well...I'm a commuter, I don't do long distance traveling, because then I would have to leave my small kids at home (mmm...) I ride a 1200GS, for just that purpose. A bit overkill, I know, but in 15 years of commuting (many different bikes) it is on top of the heap (shaft drive, windprotection, and very tall, as am I) and has a great resale value. I do a commute of 55 km one way, of which 20 km highway. I pay around 3000€ on gas every year (12€/100km), 400 tot 1000€ maintenance and about 700€ on taxes and insurance. I have just sold my GS and bought one of these CE04's. Full option, new, with a current discount of 1500€, paying 14600€ all in. I will also recover 15% of this amount through governement tax discount in my country. So leaving me, paying 12300€. I sold my GS (2017, 60000km) for 11000€. So all in all it cost me 1300€. Now I have no experience in riding electric, so I will have to find out the ins and outs along the way. I will have to charge the bike at home and also at work, every ride (because a two way trip is 110 km, don't think that will be manageble) Taxes and maintenance is close to none, electricity will be something like 0,3 to 0,7€ per kwh so will be around 4€/100km. That alone will save me around 2000€ every year. I'm all about to find this out in the real world, I don't have a correct reference yet, but I am willing to find out. Like you said, the closest electric motorcycle on the market right now would be the Zero. Bigger range, but almost twice the price of this BMW. So if you ask me, BMW as done a great job, putting a reasonably priced bike out there. Now we'll see how it all goes coming year, I admit, I'm still a bit sceptical, but somebody has got to start trying it in the real word right?
    Oh, and as a reference... I think this is a small bike 🙂. I'm 1m89 (6"2)
    Bottomline I really think it comes down to ones use. For my commute, this just might be perfect, we''ll see. If you want something for multiple purposes, look somewhere else.
    I also recently noticed the new Buell, FUELL FLLOW or something. While that looks very promising, it is not yet a production bike.

      I do wonder how much a battery for this scooter would cost. Probably not practical if it's not in warranty.

    Looks like they dropped the Magellan Grey for Imperial Blue for the 2024 model. Big mistake! They should have dropped the white! It’s just boring on this bike.
