Hi, I have created DFS folder using the same steps which you have shown. But when I'm clicking the folder using UNC path, it's creating the same folders like an infinite loop.. one folder inside another and so on.. can you please help
That is strange. I have not experience anything like that ever. just a simple solution: Can you re-create the namespace again? (If it is possible) Because I think at this moment I dont have any other solution.
I haven't created video on it but here is the link to the article on MS community. Please refer the article for the steps: techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/core-infrastructure-and-security/azure-file-share-integrating-dfs-n-with-ad-ds-over-smb/ba-p/1811002
Hello if I have a H drive on a server where we keep files, and I want to have a backup server just in case the h drive has issues, using dfs share, if I create a new server that will be the backup server, which server to I install dfs on the orig live server that has the h drive, or the backup server.
First of all, for just backup dont use DFS. For data safety you can use Mirroring (RAID) by adding another disk to the existing server and configure mirroring with disk where you save your data. If you want DFS replication to create a backup of your share data you need to install DFS on both server. Check the video on DFS Replication configuration.

You have selected server02 bro
You're saying ROLE, but I am hearing RULES. Throws me off. I am looking for server RULES and can't find them. ;)
Damn, my accent is little bad. Hope you get me right.
