    I had been carrying a fieldmaster but also own a Huntsman. I just purchased a ranger. The other two now live in a drawer. The ranger is one sweet knife. Money well spent and I'm glad I bought mine

      Aye. The ranger is a very capable utility tool and I always have mine on me at every day in the military

      I'd assume you can just Google search "list of all Swiss army knives Victorinox" and they should show up somewhere. Many people have different preferences due to size, weight, likelihood of needing some tools but not others, etc. So it is definitely subjective which is "best" for the individual. The main model that is typically the biggest people will carry is the Swiss Champ. There are bigger models but most people don't get those. I am getting the Swiss Champ but you should look up the dimensions of it and see if you'd like carrying that in your pocket daily, if that's what you plan on, at least. Many people think carrying Swiss Champ is too big, too heavy, not necessary but I just like having more tools; I don't mind more weight, and I usually have cargo shorts or pants, not tight jeans 👖, so it won't print much in bulge. 🤣

    The truth is that you get so bored in nature that the only exhilarating activity is pitching your tent and cooking your meal. Until the end of the next day...
    Good idea the corkscrew for transporting the large log! :)

    11:05 Do you really cut bark from a living tree? I am really sorry about that. I don't look any further. :(

    • @OFPruzkumnik
      @OFPruzkumnik 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed, only a stupid person would cut the bark off a living tree. This is what happens when you start playing a big bushcrafter. Especially since he has a lot of followers.
      Properly one should leave no trace behind, the place you came to must look the same when you leave as it did when you started.

      I'm sorry that my video caused you negative emotions. But here's what I want to say: look around you. Any paper you use every day is made from wood that was also alive. Toilet paper is also made from wood. The furniture in your house is made of wood that was alive. You eat meat that was also alive and didn't want to die. You used more wood today than I did in this video. No need to be so serious about natural natural processes. In the wild, the strong always devour the weak. For example, a lion eats an antelope to survive. The frog eats a mosquito. Some beetles eat trees, after which these trees die. This is fine. I did no appreciable harm to this tree. For him, this is just a scratch that will not affect anything. Trees do not have nerve endings and do not feel pain. Perhaps you never thought, but even just walking on the ground, every day you crush dozens of living creatures with your boots, which also do not deserve to die.

      @@jonyfire432 What you write is true, but on the other hand, an excuse that does not belong here. I'll bet you anything you saw a lot of fallen birch trees along the way. And if not, there is nothing simpler than to get another tinder or make a hairy stick. This is just completely unnecessary in my opinion.

    • @Jscolorsofenergy21
      @Jscolorsofenergy21 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You can collect the Bark without damaging the Tree. Use only the thin outer Layer of the Bark, that you can collect only by Hand.

    • @OFPruzkumnik
      @OFPruzkumnik 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@jonyfire432 You make a good excuse, I have nice wooden furniture, but the age of my furniture is older than me, I don't need to buy new furniture every week. You probably don't know anything about recycling, there are lots of paper and plastic containers in my country, you just have to want to sort your waste, which I do. You won't find much toilet paper here that isn't made from recycled paper. What a remarkable end to the letter :D
      It is true that a tree does not feel pain, but it feels that someone sticks a knife into its bark and triggers protected mechanisms in the form of resin.
      The bark protects the tree, if you remove such a piece of bark, you threaten the tree with bark beetles, fungi, wood rot or diseases that can lead to the death of the tree.
      Especially when we humans use trees so much, we should respect the trees in the forest all the more and not damage them unnecessarily.
      What would it look like if everyone in the forest behaved like this? Forests would decrease, one damaged tree is attacked and it then spreads to other healthy trees. (This is how my pear tree died, it was attacked by a disease that lives in coniferous bushes).
      In the wild, the strong always eat the weak. But we are Homo sapiens sapiens, which could be translated as a wise or reasonable person. So let's treat our forests sensibly!
