Dude, excellent job! I liked how you used the keyring hole to bend the straight pin. I'd rather have used the pliers, but not all of my Victorinox knives have a pair of pliers, so your adaptation is really functional. Using the plastic bottle and its cap to make a fishing line was ingenious too.

Awesome video Jony. I like the way you make PET line using the cap. I’ll have to try this myself on my next adventure. 👍

I finally bought a Ranger. Now have a new current model huntsman and one from the 70's. A new model fieldmaster and others. Love my Ranger.

Thanks to you and your wonderful jigsaw blade hack using the tweezers as a wedge I barely use my swiss army saw anymore which is good so it doesn't get worn out

Worn out? WORN OUT!!?? I've had mine for 40 years now and apart from a nick in the blade it's as good as the day I got it!

Pretty good tips there. Hey jonyfire can u recommend me my first SAK... My birthday is coming up

I'm not jonyfire but can easily recommend the Victorinox Ranger.
Only shortfall is there is no locking mechanism for the blade.

ranger is my favorite victorinox, but it's quite thick. In my opinion, the ideal set of items for every day in a climber. If you need a saw, then take Huntsman. It has the same tools as in a climber + saw

Careful, always cutting & poking towards your fingers. I'd wear gloves & use a backstop, like a log or something. Those SAK non-locking blades are super sharp.

Was the pin in yours? Mine didn't have one, so I have added it. The hole was there, but no pin.

I guess only compact and swisschamp is loaded with a pin. If you have another model, you add the pin yourself.

I wouldn't use that pin. I'd hunt around for a beverage can with the pop top still attached and use that. A zipper loop would be even better.

From the time of our fore fathers till now we've become lazy and stupid. We've forgotten the old ways. The ways from the pioneer, the civil war, and those who made it through the great depression. Only skills learned from those times will we have a chance to survive. Technology is not your friend stop defending and depending on it.

We have forgotten so much, that we have no clue what we did forget.
Forget about the last 1500 years. What about before that, when the great migrations begin? What about before even that?
Don't forget, even the Sumerians had songs about " the old days" and Egyptians had their own archeologists.
We are ignorant that to which we have forgotten. We have no clue of the breath of knowledge that's gone....

This creation is very dangerous if done improperly!
Make sure the saw-teeth sre always facing up!
If they are facing down while trying to pull-in a shark, the saw will close and remove the fishermans fingers!

  • @RoyalEmpressTree
    @RoyalEmpressTree ปีที่แล้ว

You know, that pin will be real hard to get back in the knife when you're done fishing.
