Bought a 2019 model year of this camper last fall. Mine came with the residential fridge & power stabilizers jacks and a Full Queen. Additions to this year appear to be the switch for the MAX fan in the bathroom instead of having to reach, the Pet Tie down outside (What a great idea!). What I love about it is the room inside. While we don't spend a lot of time inside when camping, it's nice to have it if you catch one of those all day rains and wanna break out a board game or watch a sporting event during the playoffs. A lot of nice little touches such as the cutting board with magnets, the large farm sink, the extra medicine cabinet, all the USB plugs and 120v outlets so thoughtfully placed along with a TV position for the main room that doesn't cause chiropractic visits the week following a camping trip. All those things plus a list of things that I was firm I would not accept and it DIDN'T HAVE (A slide under the awning eating up our shaded sitting space for the hotter days, a camper with minimal counter prep space, a bathroom with knee banging space while on the toilet for an average size guy (5'10", 190 lbs.) made this the perfect camper for us as I approach retirement in a few years and have a bunch more time to camp and use our golf cart. Oh and by the way, the gas tank is a great way to handle the fuel for my portable inverter genny instead of having to haul gas cans and even gets used for the lawn tractor at home once in a while when I forget I used the last of the gas last week, lol!
@@sethpeterson2659 Resi-Fridge requires an inverter to run off battery power. They tax the battery really hard & have been known to sap one in the span of only a few hours. For an RV that is often used "off grid" they just don't make a lot of sense to us, so we always swap in the propane/electric fridges.
Oh, BTW guys, I just thought of this: If you don’t have “toys” but wonder what to do with the gas tank-use it as an auxiliary tank for your tow vehicle. I think it would be annoying if once I broke camp, and started heading home, that I had to stop at a gas station or truck stop to fill up. Just do it at the campsite as one of the tasks on your break camp checklist. That way all you have to do is get on the road and concentrate on driving, instead of looking for billboards that tell you where the gas station is.
Love this. What’s the 2021 changes. Juice pack? Like the combo microwave and convection oven. Down low. I have a gold wing 900lbs and a 2015 1/2 ton standard bed 4wd would this tow it loaded?
Juice Pack is on pretty much anything Cherokee makes now as it's been quite popular. Rear camera as well. For towing advisory I'd need more info on the truck to say yes or no either way. Our folks at 800-256-5196 are always happy to assist in return for a fair opportunity to work with you
Can the toy gas tank be ordered with it on the drivers side? For two reasons. 1 if you have gas in the tank it would be on the side you are most likely going to have a bonfire 🔥 on and also grilling on. Vapors are dangerous. 2. The truck usually has its tank fill on the driver side so at the pump you’d have to pull to another pump just to fill it instead of just pulling fwd. it just makes more sense to have that on the other side where all the hookups and generator would be than on the same side as the location where all the outside parties 🎉 are going on.

My 2012 Silverado 1/2 ton has a model code of CK10753 w/K5L, so for my peace of mind, I’d probably tow it dry with not much cargo, and load it up with water and such when I get near where I’m going to set up camp.
In your trailer specs, you have this trailer measuring 32'. Is that from hitch coupler to rear bumper, or if the ramp is down? If it is to the bumper, the 23 is misleading lol

I think the only thing most of these campers are missing is a washer and dryer hookup some of them could revamp their bunk beds and accommodate a washer and dryer hookup. What do think Josh?🤔 I should also say you do an excellent job in narrating about the campers and even making it funny.
Not a good idea to have a W/D behind the axles like that. It bounces a little too much. W/D suppliers actually will not warranty a unit installed directly on a rear wall for example This isn't quite the right segment where enough folks are seeking a feature like that unfortunately. Another challenge is how a W/D unit would tax the holding tanks. I've seen our team perform some pretty amazing special installs on things like this, though. I wonder if anyone make something like a portable model you can pull out as needed...

Generally speaking: No. However... Grey Wolf Makes one that CAN be 2 Bedrooms. bit.ly/2TSh2QI That one can be optioned to be built with an enclosed 2nd bedroom. That's about as close as you can get. Bedrooms eat up a lot of space and to get into your preferred weight range without bunks this is about what you'll run into.
As always, love your reviews - #1 on TH-cam. 2 quick questions: looking at the floor plan looks like there are two free-floating chairs. Do these come with? If not, no problem - a couple of IKEA poangs will surfice. Secondly, are there awning options for the rear patio? Or would it just be more economical to put a pop-up on the rear ramp? Thanks! The chairs are optional. It's odd they put them on the floor plan diagram like they're standard equipment. Regarding the awning for the patio: Nothing from the factory. Probably best to put up some kind of easy-up thing from a big box store.

Regarding painted aluminum sidewalls: It COULD be done, but Holiday Rambler basically ruined that concept for everyone years ago. Aluminum suppliers cannot make aluminum sheeting tall enough to make it seamless, so there needs to be at least one seam running the length of the trailer. Holiday Rambler didn't do a good job of sealing it properly & they were all basically leaking mold factories. Since then any MFG with an aluminum skin has used the corrugated aluminum as it tends to twist/buckle/bend far, far less due to the shape providing extra structural integrity. So PLENTY of trailers have painted aluminum walls, but MFGs aren't willing to risk repeating history.
Josh.... can you do a video about toy haulers where you talk about holding things like BBQ smokers. I have watched 45 of your videos and you never mention a large market of your viewers. BBQ cook-off teams. Being from the Mid-West that is a large BBQ team area.
We've met quite a few. The uses of toy haulers extend well beyond the realm of "toys." The equipment commonly used for BBQ teams is well within the weight restrictions of the RV's ramp/floor/etc.
And that's why there are so many layouts out there! Though this model has proven quite popular it's certainly not for everyone. What changes would you like to see?

Gus , how does the residential fridge do just running off battery if you don't have 120 volt power? have you found out the length of run time?

This floorplan would be great as a rear living RV with a 2 bench dinette on the door side. Just needs a real residential queen bed.
You could easily change beds to whatever you'd like. Plenty of room.
