Absolutely loved how Bernie is really coming into his own on these trips really loving it. I actually clapped when he crossed on the way back he was so proud of himself. This was one of the nicest, funniest and happy camping videos - we laughed at Bernie's antics (loved the breakfast faces), his endearing and loving nature. What a brave boy! He really did look so pleased having crossed the river on the way back, and rightly so! Tony, your genuine delighted smiles made our day too. And proves that love does conquer all.

Love your videos. I had to share. Our first family dog was a border collie. She was a sweetheart, Bernie type. We lived in Upstate NY, big snow country. She would like to sit outside in a snowstorm. We would check on her, nope I am fine. she was covered in snow. Happy as can be. You know border collies, they are different. I like it when you tell people to mind their own business about your dog, they know nothing. In 1966 we had a huge snowstorm. She did want to come in on that one. We got 4-5 foot of snow, smart dog.
Love it!!! Miss seeing Bruce and Bruno, but Bernie looks like he might turn out to be the cheekiest of them yet. I've always wished I had the space and energy for a Border Collie and love living vicariously through yours. Thanks for sharing them.

Tony, Aweome video as usual, loved seeing Bernie with you. He is such a cute puppy. He obeys you so well. I admire how careful you are being with your new "child"--he is such a loving dear. It was so cute how he wanted to help you with the sawing, i just smiled from ear to ear! RE: Cigar time, of course men landed on the moon, as one of my cousins via marriage on my mom's side of the family was an astronaut. Unfortunately he died on the Challenger Shuttle in 1986. Bummer. I was shocked to see him blow-up. He died doing what he loved. Copies of his last letter were passed around the family so we could read his last words, in case something happened. He assured everyone, that if he did not come back, not to mourn for him but to be glad for his wonderful life and to support his immediate family. After many missions and photos of the earth, there is no way our earth is flat. It stymies my imagination how people can think this still. AS even God in the Bible mentions "I have created the spheres, and they hang in the heavens, where I have placed them" I am a very religious person, and believe 100 percent in the Bible. Many astronauts do too, once they get into space and get a look at the earth from space--it becames a very spiritual experience. re: the fire: Thanks for explaining this concept to me. My Dad was never a great fire builder, using kerosene one time, and set our entire campsite on fire, including the grass, trees and by the time the Park service reached our camp, the entire area was scorched black, except for our tent, tarps and picnic table. WE managed to stave off the fire with "water" and I was using a rug to beat back the flames. Our Dachshund was paralyzed with fear. Poor dog. Mom came back from her five minute trip from the flush toilets, and could not believe her eyes! Dad just stood there with a roasted burned out can of karosene llighter fluid, looking guilty. We called him "smokey the bear" for a few years. The wood was damp, and it was misty out. NOT chucking down like you had going. Had my Dad followed YOUR method we would have had a roaring fire in no time at all. I have paid attention, in case I need to do this some time. AS it rains a lot in Oregon. WE gets lots of rain here. WE are known in the USA as a rainy state. LOL. Thanks so much for the complete demonstration. YOU are the tops! Just like your beloved Brucie and Bruno did. Bernie will be an excellent mascot for A B Camping. I see that Bernie is very loyal to you. I wonder as he gets older, will he begin to further explore his surroundings like Bruce and Bruno did. I have a question for you. I think I saw this right. I noticed in the morning when you woke up, it looked like the edge of the tent on one side did not touch the ground. I thought that I could see grass poking through. If so, could Bernie have scooted out under the tent wall at night like Bruno used to do once in a while? I know you are always so concerned for the welfare of your pups. With this said, I bet I was not seeing this straight. You would have never let young Bernie become a nighttime escape artist! Lol This was such a wonderful video. My old man would build a lean-to over the fire, rain or shine. I've never seen anyone else do it.
