    Those are all great saws. It just comes down to what feels good in your hand, how much weight you want to lug around and how much money you want to spend. I myself am a fan of echoes simplicity, price point and build quality.

    I have two 620p, one stock, one ported and muffler modded. The ported 620p saw is awesome. Traded my 550xp mk2 for it. Echos have a lot to be gained by modding them. Plus tuning the carb is a must. Easy mod if you don't want to go the ported route is opening up the muffler.

    I bought MS400 for anti-vibe. It’s got the vibration levels of a 50cc saw. One year of big oak cutting and she rips. Nice video 👍🏼

    All very good saws. I own them all except the 562. Make no mistake, that 680 will still be alive and chugging along after the Husqvarna and Stihl blow up. 680 is a great torque based saw, albeit a little slower than it's modern counterparts. Happy cutting.

    Well, the 620 weight is more of a 70ccm saw - but the torque of it is also more in the 70ccm range than 60ccm. Like this saw quite well, even if I had the 562 and 362 C-M 2.0. I earning my Money with logging. If you go with the Echo 590 you could save some weight but there is also a little bit of punch missing. We have some quite hard wood hier in Germany - This is when you see the difference between those 60ccm saws more. Also, the 620 need a lot of time to break in and gain more power. Dont know why. The Echo 680 in my eyes is obsolete for professional logging. To bad AV-System, to heavy and not more power than a 620.

    • @whatsthebuzz1

      I just got a 620 a month ago after using 45 cc saws for years. The 620 is so much more powerful than the smaller saws that I have, that it seems like it goes through the wood like a light saber.

  • @Tcw2019

    • @whatsthebuzz1

      Your probably right. Most saws open up some when they are broken in. Thanks for watching.

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP
    @LiveFreeOrRIP ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What I have found is even the 400 is kinda MEH. its odd to me. Obviously I think about things WAY to much. for me 60cc saws are ok they have a place. 50cc saws same thing. But if you want My opinion i would SKIP 60 and go for a 70cc saw. 462 or 500i. The differences in weight is Nothing compared to the performance of the saw. My 462 with the upgrades pulls a my 25inch light bar like Nothing. It BLASTS Through big rounds like crazy. The 462 is what 13lbs and the 362 is 12lbs... I like saws so I have a few but IF i was in the market for saws to do a land project and cut firewood often i would SKIP the 60cc stuff. I LOVE my ms180 with the big tooth conversion. IT CUTS. and 261 is always around for the slightly bigger stuff. Then you need a BIG saw. Anything to much for my 261 should be a job for a 70cc saw. But I do have 2 60cc saws because I LOVE saws lol..

    • @whatsthebuzz1
      @whatsthebuzz1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, the 70cc class is probably the ultimate all around saw if you need big stuff cut as well. The main difference is price, you really jump up from the 60cc class. A lot of homeowners don’t want to spend over 1k on a saw. Thanks for watching.

    • @bushleague3472
      @bushleague3472 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@whatsthebuzz1 The Husky 365/ 565 are both 70cc saws, and often go on sale for prices rivaling the 620P in my neck of the woods. I have both, the 365xt has been my main saw for 12 year, the 565 is similar but more of everything. Every era of the Husky '65 has earned a reputation as a firewood saw, ironically people usually clue in after the model is dropped, dont sleep on the 565, its the definition of a firewood saw.

    • @CharlesWinters-ie3jy
      @CharlesWinters-ie3jy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The MTronic on the new Stihl saws have a wide high rpm band of both torque and horsepower that make them cut a little faster. They just rev a little higher when cutting. If you use a Stihl full chisel chain that is sharp it may be the fastest cutting chain made from the factory. I have seen some chains that have been modified with flat files that are faster.
