I bought mine new a few months ago. I usually only buy German saws (Dolmar, Stihl, Solo,) but this 620p genuinely impressed me. It's a LOT of saw for the money! You can't get anywhere near the performance of this thing for $600 with any of the other major brands.
Seth, I too am a fan of the Echo. Lots of things are different between the 590 and the 620. My friend runs a 32 in. Bar on his 590. I've ran his saw, it was ok. With his setup, skip tooth chain, was a little too aggressive out of the box. So we gave it a good file with out hitting the rakers. Saw ran just like my 24 inch bar. So what we learned is for the 590 , 32inch bar. Keep the rakers at .30 not .25.
The gear head super seal o-ring kit is worth every penny! I’m not much of a fan for foam filters just because there high maintenance and the oil is messy. My Cs620 is my go to saw! Take the inner deflector baffle off the muffler, will get a lot more flow it’s only held on by 2 spot welds. Very nice work on that muffler port.
Yes, the O-ring kit is very helpful for $15 online Yes, I have one. It’s just a stock mail for I did that too. I do plan in the future to do that to the door ported mufflers as well. It should be a significant difference.
I bought my 620 a couple years ago and have. cut a lot with it and zero issues. I do a lot of firewood as well and use this and my Sthil 462 and theres a definite power difference between the two but the Sthil was 1200.00 and I think I paid 550.00 for my Echo. I agree the 24" bar is the sweet spot and surprisingly isn't that much. slower than the 462 on bigger rounds say over 18", maybe a couple seconds at most. Where the Sthil 462 shines is you can push and push and it rarely Boggs down and just powers through logs. Depending on the wood I usually start with the 462 then finish up with the 620P because it's noticeably lighter. I also run Echo 355t and a 303t for small stuff and love them as well. You cant go wrong with Echo chainsaws in my opinion, I just bought another 355t and compared to a top handle saw from Shtil it was about 200.00 price difference and the Sthil looked cheap with plastic dogs and seemed a bit heavier.
Vaseline around those parts will help, that’s how I set my filter on my firewood saw( ms361) 15 years just changed piston and rings and saw dust in intake for that time, now I grease the joint. No dust. I really want one of those 620’s tho!

If it had the 7310p style air filter it would be perfect. Where did you order that bottom skid plate from? Love that

I have the 590 and the 620 and the ms400 and the Cs 7310 and the cs800p Echo. That's what I use in my wood yard
can I just ask why it half the review upside down is that how you see irl
The dealer told me that the oiler cannot keep up with a bar longer than 27 inches.
What is the difference between the P and the PW?
The PW has a wrap handle.
