With MONTHS of staying at home cuz of the "you know what" (I'm not going to say the "V" word!), you are more appreciated than you know!!
I got up this morning, turned on TH-cam while I woke up,....and first thing, I heard your voice!!!
I checked the post time, and it had just been uploaded.
It sounds strange, but I felt like my good friend just stopped by.
I'm not all that social to begin with. So having a "Craft Buddy" right there, is quite wonderful.
Anyway,...I just wanted you to KNOW, how important you are to us out here. I'm sure I'm not only one who feels this way.
    So from ALL OF US,...THANKS!

I laminate fabric to cardstock by adhering it with Heat N Bond, it comes out crisp, smooth and mess free, no bleed thru like glue often does. Makes the embossed impressions really stand out

Your glue takes the paint off because it contains acetone. I found this out because it started melting my acrylic nails.. lol!🤣 Thank you so much for your videos! I just came across junk journaling two weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. I have ordered numerous things off of your Amazon shop and plan to jump in head first when I receive everything. I wanted to tell you something that made me laugh. I have a TH-cam channel about cross stitch, and some quilting (nothing luke yours, just about 1200 subscribers). I mentioned finding out about junk journaling and showed some old book I planned on converting into journals. I had quite a number of people who were outraged that I would do that...lol! Thanks again for all your knowledge that you share, and the humorous way in which you share it!

Oh would love to see your OLD BOOK redo into new Journals. How cute and so funny yes that a few would be outraged. Maybe it's a book they all covet but bet not. BTW a lot of OLD books are sold off at libraries across the USA to raise funds most years and so people keep an eye on them for possible great OLD BOOK finds to re-purpose and sure beats going to the landfill. That's what the outrageous forgot to realize. Lets all have fun and enjoy our life and sharing too. I had a light bulb moment here. Will be making a very light almost ghost like green coated canvas. I think it would emboss well if I add a iron on interface to the backside. It will be lined so the back side will not show. I also make note book covers and this really opened my mind along those lines too. I was using stiffer cardstock for the backing of fabric and faux leather now I'm thinking something along the lines of the file folders would definitely work well plus give you that extra inside treat of the embossing to play with or leave alone as I thought the butterflies before coloring was lovely too. Kudo's to you.

I've done just fabric sprayed with Magic Sizing (like spray starch) and it holds the embossing very well. But gluing cardstock to the back will make it very stable.

I could see doing this with fabric on both sides as bookmarks. Like take pieces of fabric from your kids clothing or swatch from a prom dress or wedding dress create a beauiful memory book marks for like graduation, college or aniversary gift or something for free give away at school book fairs. You could even creat a door knob hanger for do not disturb so if someone is "Studying" the roommate knows to be quiet lol.

Wide white 'artist' tape works well with this technique! Layer it on cardstock or other substrate (w/ glue, maybe even try one without glue, I haven't done that), run it through the Sizzix or Cuttlebug then brush on distressed picket fence then a few dabs of antique linen. It becomes 'faux' fabric cards. Love-love-love this new type of collaborated jj cards.

I was playing with my new Big Shot the other day and discovered fabric embossing. I love it!!! So glad to see we're on the same page. Girl you are a hoot!!! Even my husband was laughing at your craziness. Keep up the good work, we need laughter in our lives these days. Makes me look forward to getting out of bed.😁🤗😊🤭🌞👍

Wonderful ideas. I like the solid fabric but reversing the strip works beautifully

Many years ago I embossed plain paper napkins and used them as backgrounds for cards.
Now I do it quite often with the white layers of paper napkins. I emboss them or I stamp them and use them for smaller items as wrapping paper

Great idea. I often use faux leather (on its own, no manilla) and emboss it to make bookmarks, book plates or even a spine for a soft cover journal. Happy crafting 💞
