Pam, after our son passed 1 month ago today, I started using the many beautiful cards we received for journal cards, pockets, tucks, trimming the floral and many butterfly designs. I put them in my personal July & Aug. daily journal with pictures, etc. I didn't cover anything, all so pretty. I have tons of Mother's Day & Birthday cards from family & friends, so many pretty cards, just can't toss. Yours is a good idea for those that don't work that way. But Pam...it’s a DRY cold!
(Friend of mine once said that just means that it doesn’t bleed much when your limbs snap off!)
    My Grandma was polish.
    She was teenager during WW1
She told me that one day...she was standing with some friends and watching a group of Russian soldiers walk through her village.
One of them broke ranks when he saw her.
He came up to her and started to weep.
He said that she looked just like his daughter...who was waiting for him back home in his village in Russia.
He told Grandma that he was going to the front the next day...and he asked her to pray for him.
My Grandma never saw him again.
But she prayed for him every day...for the rest of her life.
When she told me that story she said that Russian is similar enough to Polish...that she could understand what he said.
    But she couldn’t read Russian.
She could also understand Ukrainian...but again...couldn’t read it.
But she said that sometimes...when we need to say something to each other...the language won’t matter.
    The meaning comes through.

I would really like to see Christmas cards! I was thinking of making cards with a pocket so your family photo could be removed to be put in a frame instead. I find that if you send a photo in the card people will at least keep it on their refrigerator. Most people with throw their Christmas cards away after a while.

Great idea! Although the bird noise made me turn down the volume and the video was going in and out focus so I didn't watch all of it but got the jist of it.

You may have the best voice in this genre of videos. You speak clearly, with enthusiasm, and you don't go up into the screechy octaves. Your ideas, execution and results are fantastic.!! Thank you for that. I must say, as someone who would like to see your subs double in number, ....... PLEASE stop talking once in a while......... I searched for "tutorials", not "stream of consciousness causing too many bad jokes". The strain of filling every millisecond with words distracts from the great work you do. I'm sorry to have to mute from now on.

For the first time, I had to slow down one of your videos - you must have had a quadruple espresso before filming - Miss Speedy Gonzales - LOL!!! Thanks so much for these GREAT ideas!!! Wonderful way to repurpose a greeting card instead of throwing them in the recycle bin. Thanks for the clever techniques!! :-)

They don't have to be just for journals. I can think of a few things to do with them. A pretty way to jot down a shopping list. Write a note on the back and send it now the recipient has a unique piece of art work.

Wonderful way to spend some time, when the weather is hot and muggy!
I love the heat, but for most people,
34°C (93F)is over the top, in Denmark! ☀️ especially when the humidity is over 80%!!
I have loads of sponsered cards, I've never sent and also, refuse to throw out! This will give them a second life!
Thanks, Pam - love from Denmark 🌸💕

I also love the heat and I didn't mind the humidity this year in Manitoba. I spend as much time outside as I can. Not so much fun in winter.

I love the inks and oxides equally. But I did make the mistake of using ink instead of oxide on the pens we covered. So it covered all the pretty paper I put down 😢. Oh well, lesson learned.

All those cards I have kept can come down out of the attic! See, I did too know why I kept them all these years. Silly husband asking why. Duh. To make journaling cards silly man. Thanks again Pam for a crafty idea to help justify my paper hoarding! 🤓

Silly man for sure. HeHe They never get it. If you really want to have some fun take Hubby with you to the craft shop and tell him you are looking for some pva glue.. He will pick up a small bottle of elmers or something but it will be small. When this happens say that will never do and reach down and pick up the gallon size. Be sure when you do this to be watching his face. It will be priceless. Ask me how I know. You got it I took my husband shopping. Didn't do this for a reaction, I really wanted the gallon size. Just happened to catch the look on his face.. My daughter calls me the Queen of Glue. For my birthday she gage me 1&1/2 lbs of Yes Glue. That blew my husband's mind too.

Well, you talked in this video about inking compulsively, but do you every find yourself wanting to STAPLE? Anyone out there? I got myself a "Tiny Attacher" and I love it so much but I don't find enough opportunities to staple with it! Thanks for sharing your art, Pam. Your ideas are so inspiring, and everything turns out just awesome.
