I'm gonna defend secondaries here, if the mission is, for example, scorched earth and your oponent scorched the earth, it doesn't matter if you killed all his units, they already ruined those lands. There are many kinds of objectives that you can achieve even by losing every single unit giving you the win
I agree, my girlfriend loves taking killy secondaries her nids are much more interested in attrition while for example my cadians have the hope to hold the line
The Oxford/Oxford Brookes thing is so hilarious and so common I remember one time I was talking to a friends girlfriend and she mentioned she'd been to Oxford, my sister was studying there at the time so I said something along the lines of "oh that's really cool, my sisters at St John's college at the moment, is that the one you went to?" and she grimaced and muttered about Oxford Brookes
I'm here in Australia, it's so early the sun hasn't even started to rise, and I gotta get my sorry ass up for work but it's also Northern Exile time so it's not so bad. Cheers for all the good work you do North.
@North, you harp about GW making 40k balanced but with the exception of Eldar and Dark Eldar, everyone is within the 45-55% goldilocks win rate zone right now (verified by independent stat collectors). So I don't even really see how you have a leg to stand on with that argument. :/ OPR is great, but I still prefer 40k, and yeah, I like my random deck of cards, because it makes you have to actually adapt and express your skill as a commander in some way.
So I sort of disagree with you on winning on secondaries. I think the game is much better when you can win the battle even if you’ve been wiped off the board, it reduces people playing armies that are just endless high damage That said, I don’t think the current way is perfect
Wiping someone should equate to an automatic win. But if we did not have secondaries , tanky armies could just sit objectives. But then that is why army balance is key, cause sometimes (more often than not) your secondaries are going to suck ass, and you will only score a handful anyway.
I stopped playing 40k last year. I now play bolt action, victory at sea, batman miniatures game and walked dead all out war. And I am much happier not spending half the time going through rules and rowing
Sadly all the GW tournaments here even for new players had guys who got to Vegas show up & Stomp people well meta gaming & the staff though it was great.... (Way to scare off casual ewer players from spending money in your store...)

About the manager who would one up you: we used to call a guy like that “two-sheds” if you had one shed, he had two.
Best description I heard of a one up type of guy was that if you said you'd been to Tenerife, he'd say he'd been to Elevenerife.
To do black now I mid grey and slap black contrast over it, Could maybe do with a slight highlight but honestly its table ready at that point.

Always just in time for me to start my drive to work. Ill have a story about how I got back into painting after a few years and it SUCKS
Elevenrife 😂 I know a guy like that but we call him Ten Sheds.
Honestly, I feel like its a good thing that tou cant win a game purely by tabeling. All that does is promote sweaty lists

Lease setup is very normal in small print, prevents he said she said that results in protracted lawsuits in the event of trouble.
PS: Recently got back into GW after 30 years out with my kids, love the channel!

I'll be honest in that situation I'd be filing for wrongful dismissal
Hello listening to this at work
New to the channel but what game is this your playing? It looks good, does it play as well as it looks??
It's Chaos Gate Daemonhunters, it's really good X-COM style game
I think I know the stores the guy is talking about. They’re my local ones. I wonder if I’d recognise him.

I'm so glad to hear that Andy guy got sacked. You know something was up when he said Andy "hand picked" every model on that order
You should try editing out silence.
Find £200 pounds of models....spend £200 on paints and brushes !
Corpse worshipping lol!!!! Not worrying at all.
Who would have guessed a dumb opinion like secondaries are bad would come from someone who doesn’t even play 40K.
Agree with you 100% about 10th being an utter shit show. older editions or one page is where its at. They just cannot make a good ruleset.
OPR is a superior rule set, hands down, no argument.
