    I love your videos. They are so very informative and enjoyable to watch. I'm learning so very much.
    I have another question for you, How does one deal with other holidays ie religious holidays that the family may not observe?

      This is something that you should talk to the family about when you interview and negotiate the contract.

    I’m a registered nurse - with baby sitting experience & a qualification in early years. Is it possible to get into nannying. It seems many jobs expect 2-5 years experience, so how do you break in to nannying.

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it is possible to get into nannying. Look for jobs where your nursing degree is a benefit. Like working with a child who has medical needs. We placed a nurse with a family who had a child who had just been diagnosed with diabetes. The parents wanted someone who could track everything properly throughout the day as well as teach them and their child how to manage the diabetes.
      You can also start taking some childcare courses.

      @@TheNannySolution thank you for your response, that’s a good area I didn’t think to look into. Okay great I’ll look into some more child care courses and work on my CV. Thank you

      This is the issue I’m having. :( I finally got a position, but it’s part time and agencies don’t count this as experience :(

    I was wondering how to handle the conversation when you just have been for a month with the family and you see that your compensation should be higher as the responsibilities/difficulty of the job is higher than expected. And the nanny's in that zone get more.
    (Plus in the begging they were going to pay yo more but just before signing the contract they give you less bc of X reasons. But you still want what you negociated in the begging and looked like that's what was going to be)

      It is your responsibility to fully understand the job responsibilities before signing the contract. Is the job description not what is outlined in the contract.
      If you were not comfortable with the rate you should not have signed the contract.
      You can try to sit down and express your concerns but if they are not open to paying you more money and that is a deal breaker for you, you may have to give notice and find a different position.

    What if the nanny has an emergency? I asked my potential family if they had a backup plan?

    What about 401k that is offered? Can something else be offered instead of it? Or what’s best?

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We are in Canada so I can not speak to 401k's since we do not have them here.
