Also, one other thought: Charlie might not be very good at the specifics of helping people improve, but she has set up an environment where they can improve themselves and each other. And that is because she has done the one thing that no one else in hell has ever done Had hope She saw the good in them and believed in them and their ability to improve, giving them the push to actually attempt it
I like the theory that Sera created Emily to take over Lucifer's job as seraphim of joy after his fall It really adds to the parallel between Sera, Lucifer, and Carmilla. All three had a chance to stop (or at least try to stop) the exterminations but chose, despite their dislike of them, to allow it out of a desire to protect their daughters
Roomie found me watching this ep. I was laid out on the couch *crying* laughing and wheezing “rule of 3” like I was so hoping the second time he did it with the shots and it STILL hit like a train 😂 that ran through Pentious
Got to love to love this episode. Songwise Im in full agreement too, "Welcome To Heaven" is at the bottom of my list from the show, due to those generic pop song qualities, been very short and overall "just alright". But "You Didnt Know" daaaaaaaaang now that is what Id say is the show stopper of the series. Its fantastic with its execution, putting the tension to max, and the "Hell Is Forever" reprice is exactly what I wanted from Heaven after Adams song, especially the "Rules are shades of grey" bit, as thats just how real life is. I do agree, Charlie isnt technically redeeming the sinners, but she has esentially set the stage for them to be themselves and heal from their pains and sufferings, like Angel for example. The more his been building up his friendships in the Hotel, the more he seems to be showing his true self, cause from the looks of it, Angel isnt a bad person at his core, it was just due to the circumstances of his life on Earth that lead to his addiction to drugs, that killed him and then Val just breaking him down even further after he found him. But now. Now his standing up to his abuser to defend his friend, Im thinking that the show might even end with him getting to go to Heaven, either going, or choosing to stay behind with his friends even if he was offered. Rest of the characters were neat, Emily and Charlie just have big "twinsies bff's" energy and I really hope we get to see more of em toogether. Vagie been an angel is sth that I wasnt quite sure how to feel about when I heard the theory, but now I dont really have any strong feelings about. Cera Im curious to see where they go next with her character, I feel she has potential for sth intresting. And Adam been Adam as usal, yet still entertaining.
Lute is called lute because she is Adam's Lieutenant. Also yes angels and demons are both people that were born on earth as people. So far, from what we can tell, adam didn't eat the apple with eve in this version. Both do have those that are hellborn or heaven born. For hell this includes those like charlie, osmodeos. and the hell hounds and the imps and for heaven it includes the cherrubs as low levels and the seraphim as the high levels. But every exterminator was once human as is every overlord in hell. (Not to be confused with the deadly sins or the goesha). Also ya you didn't know is my favorite song from this show.
I was confused to like the bible does say we will be reborn army for God and essentially will be like angels but I also notice most exorcist besides Adam are all women so maybe its like some warrior nun type thing
It should be noted that Sara wasn't expressing concern that Emily might fall, but rather making a barely veiled threat to keep her in line. Also regarding Vaggie, I don't know if compassion could be considered a "sin".
Still not over the fact that Darren Chris is actually the one voicing St. Peter aka Blaine from Glee😂 and honestly the Vaggie being a fallen angel thing was such a good plot twist (as someone who only got familiar with Hazbin Hotel and the fandom around the time when the show came out) and gotta say love how creative you're getting with the introssss
I was watching this at like 4am the only thing I remember was the pre-promo section. I think i just straight blanked and passed out after it. Hey, twice the watch time, yay! Nice
excited to watch this reaction!! also feeling down, since we’re near the last episode and your reactions were helping me delay the post-show depression 😔
Vaggie is heaven born. I think Adam saying he named her indicates that either he or someone else in heaven manifests exorcists and then he trains them. Also, I think Adam is a special case in terms of a mortal soul. Yes, he transcended from mortal soul to angel, but I think that’s due to the fact that he was the first man and technically (huge asterisk) a “perfect” human. He existed before Lucifer gave humans free will and thus the capacity for evil, making them imperfect. That status of purity probably allowed his ascension to the level of heavenborn.
My headcanon is that Adam used to be good, but over all the years changed. That theory would make the most sense with the theming of the show, with people in hell changing for the better. It's trying to say that heaven an hell shouldn't be a permanent solution. Just cause you were good or bad on earth don't mean you will be that way 10,000 years in the future in the afterlife
While adam is the first man, he was not born human, he was created from earth. So, my theory is that is why he ascended into the angelic position he is in now, rather than being a winner like other mortals who die.
"Vaggie is heaven born" Can we get some sauce on that? He named her because that's his schtick, it's the first task given to him, naming things, so I feel reading THAT much into it is a stretch.
Since the Pilot is only soft canon now and the show still dictates the current lore, I am unclear on if Vaggie is Heaven Born or not. Hopefully by next season we get clarification since pre series days she did have an Earth background, I believe.
Given that she was an exterminator, and that Adam named her, I think it stands to reason that she is Heaven Born. Of course it’s entirely possible that she’s not, but I choose to go with the simpler answer being that she it.
I actually didn't see it coming, I just thought she didn't like heaven I didn't know she was one 😮😅 didn't really care for the first song but the secondd??? Bro 1000/10
I’m a polyamorous person, and since she already has a polyam triad in this show (The Vs, ValxVox, and VelxVox, but I don’t think VelxVal) I would love to see EmilyxCharliexVaggie (cuz nothing can come between Vaggie and Charlie in my mind, but I think Emily and Charlie would be so cute as well!)
Following up on my comment from the previous video about how I think it's unfair that you're saying Charlie is bad at this... The sinners are not redeeming each other. No one can redeem another person. They have to redeem themselves. But they *do* support one another through the very difficult process. And Charlie doesn't have *nothing to do with it" because she brought them all together. This whole thing was her idea and if not for her, they never would have formed the bonds they have. Some of them probably would even hate each other. Charlie provided the safe space for them to come together and support one another, and believed in them even when they themselves didn't. She doesn't connect with them individually the way I think she wants to, but she still plays an important role in all of it.
Sera court decide not wrong just Angel do good thing is not enough evidence Heaven Angel have no say in who get to Heaven there only job is to take care soul that get in so as long as no soul can get from Hell to Heaven it will never be enough evidence Emily not done anything wrong yet so of cause she not fall Lucifer fall because his action let evil get in to Earth
Yes. I think the thing about Charlie is, without her being the catalyst as a person who trusts and believes in them to be good at their core, none of them would have opened up to this degree. He'll, without Charlie and the Hotel, none of them would have even met each other. Yeah she's idealistic and naive, but that's part of her charm and the thing that allows them to let down their walls. There's no artifice to her. Even when she messes up it's doing something because she wants to help and cares about them. Basically Charlie believed in their goodness and gave them a safe place to stay. Heck, she didn't even hold it against Angel when he wasn't trying as hard in the beginning and still didn't believe in redemption. She's the glue holding them together.
Also, one other thought:
Charlie might not be very good at the specifics of helping people improve, but she has set up an environment where they can improve themselves and each other. And that is because she has done the one thing that no one else in hell has ever done
Had hope
She saw the good in them and believed in them and their ability to improve, giving them the push to actually attempt it
well Charlie grow in hell so she not know much about how people improve it understandable
I like the theory that Sera created Emily to take over Lucifer's job as seraphim of joy after his fall

I think Emily will suffer the same fate as Lucifer and become a fallen angel in future seasons

He was also the first sinner along with Eve so shouldn’t he have been in hell

I dont think there's anything that could get Alistor anywhere near a sex club 😂
What an episode.
Absolutely love Emily. ^^
The title of the video made me laugh.
Also I’m watching this on an iPod

@egregastandindus1193 Fair enough. However, I still feel there's a 50/ 50 shot of either eventually being shown as canon accurate.
