Bula brother "B. Singh". I wanted to tell the story of an abandoned pre-Christian Fijian village in Vunisamaloa, Ba, which led to the infamous killing of the Burns family on their farm in February 1873. This in turn led to a punitive expedition against the hill tribes of Karawa, Nubutautau and Naicule lasting five months. The whole story is fundamental to the history of modern Fiji. However, in order to tell it, I have to go to the site in Vunisamaloa and in the last few days there's been so much rain. I hope to cover Shivaratri and Holi in Fiji coming up soon plus any weddings I can get invited to. However, I have to go to Australia to update my camera equipment and buy a tent so I'll have to plan things properly. I have some incredible stories to tell and some amazing forthcoming cultural items to show what an amazing place Fiji and the world are! :)

I’ll be doing that vlog I mentioned that will take in the village of Natalecake, the original owners of the Burns land through their ancestral group, the Tabanivono, who got nothing from its first sale to a guy called James Berry. A lady who is the sister of the present Turaga-Ni-Yevusa of Natalecake translated a document into English for me for the first time since it was compiled in 1917 in Fijian! I feel very honoured. It also tells the true story of what happened on the Burns estate.
