    I like your Videos and the insights you give. Thanks for that.
    I'm interested in the combination of steady state and HIT trainings you would recomand directly after the winter, if we assume during the winter we do 90% steady state training each week. What would be the ratio before the racing period starts.

    Steady state is the way to go when we finally get back on the water. As you have trials and races to train for, I guess you and your coaches have prioritized your performance peaks. It must be a fine line to hit the targets in the racing season. I’m guessing trails for GB are the focus, yes?

      You got it. Trials is a big part of our year and can effect the rest of the years races too!

    What sort of ergs do you think would supplement steady state ergs to get a big ol' 2k on the erg? doing ut2 has helped so much but would love your advice on these shorter sharper more explosive ergs. Thanks for being a great help and motivation!

      I understand this question is for Cam but if you've got the wealth, always share it. I find that doing 3*2k or 4*2ks helps a lot. It helps simulate the same kind of fatigue that your experience during a 2k and it helps you conquer the fear of that distance because the more you do these types of workouts, the more you realize that a 2k is actually not that long. For rate, I recommend 30-32. For splits, 4-5 splits above your 2k PB split. Cheers!

      @@gabrielbrown1262 no worries mate. Forgot to mention that 3*2ks also help you think about your race plan and tips and tricks you can use mentally during the actual 2k test 😉 lots of luck mate

      Can't recommend 3x2k enough! But I would say that's still quite long. 6x500 is always good fun and can give you a pretty good indication of 2k speed
