    Wrong information. Indian classical music has originated in India called Bharat Varsha. The barbaric and uncivilized Khilji was a rude and wild ruler. Herewith I give many evidences in support of my statement
    1) names all the swara and ragas are are in sinskrit ( Pancham, dhaivat, shadi, gandhar, Hameer, jaijawanti, Bhairav, bhairavi Durga, ect.
    2) we have samveda, Sangeet sanhita dedicated to music whereas barbaric and wild Mughals and Arabs were engaged in wars and fight for loot and woman's.
    3) we have many gods and goddesses like Saraswati, Natasa,tumb Ara,gandharva, hanumant who were veterans in music.
    4) we have age-old tradition of praising gods and goddesses and there were many musical songs called artis, strotras , abhNgs ect.

      I dont know why you have to be so ignorant and nationalistic. Persia and Arabia have extensive music traditions as well, not just India. Its also a misconception to think that Persian influence on Indian culture started with the Mughals. Iranian farmers brought agriculture to India which helped start the Harrappan era. Mauryan architecture was heavily inspired by the Persian Achaemenid Palaces of Susa and Persepolis. The way we depict Buddha is derived from the Hellenisitic practices of Persia. Its actually so hypocritical. Indians get so proud of how Indian culture influenced South East and East Asia but despise the Persian influence on Indian culture.

      @@dwarasamudra8889 , I pity your ignorance. We have gods, Vedas dedicated to music. Names of ragas and talas and swaras are in sinskrit. Persians and Mongols what you are talking are nomadic rude tribes, when India was on height of architecture. Can you name any book or literature in Turkey or mongoli dedicated to music or architect. Atleast you should have common sense that these nomadic tribes came here due to India's wealth. Mohammed gazani looted 20 times Somnath temple. I think you are under a very wrong misconception or carried away by wrong history written by foreigners. Even today's rich saudi and Kuwait were begger countries before they discovered petrol. So first learn history and archaeology from all angles and than comment .

      Hindustani is mostly Persian influenced music while carnatic is largely unaffected by foreign influences and stays true to its origin and purpose, I.e., Bharata Natyashastra.

    I don't think the depiction is fact based.
    Too superficial and one dimensional analysis. Sastrya Sangeet is too old too reach. Yes it has been dented in small forms. The suddhta, purity has been tried to be spoiled. The spiritual dimensions were muffled.

    • @arslanpower

      It is old.. but the shastriya sangeet as we know it today formed in khusro era

    • @ambikadash7236
      @ambikadash7236 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arslanpower with due respect l disagree. History completely distorted.
      Khusro did not reform rather deformed the original to bring some thing different calling it as Hindustani sangeet. Later many corrections though were done but was too late as it by that time formed its own gharanas. Gharanas also tried to rectify few.
      The major reason for its distortion by Khusro and giving it a twist you know why happened. The Karnatic Sangeet which still retains most of its purity along with Dhrupad(originally called as dhrub pad) were made to be used mostly for Pravu Vandana and mostly were performed in temples and sometimes otherwise. But every time it was Bhagabat Vandana and was a path of attaining spirituality heights for some. When heard by the then invaders, they fell in love with the Shastriya Sangeet.
      Later it was explained to them that these are sajda or bhajans. How can we allow this in Muslim Darbar? Then came the intervention of Khusro to make the divine thing 'non divine' . The changes which can be sung in prais of the Sultan, or a beauty or human love etc but will not appear divine rather worldly attractive or intoxicating or romantic or seductive like that. Since then in place of Shiva vandana or Krishna or Shakti vandana, the above were started taking centerstage.
      This culture also had songs praising the lover but not in classical forms rather in light vocal or folk or local singing. That's the reason Khusro distorted many musical instruments also to suit his manipulation.
      Any way. Who ever know Shastriya Sangeeta knows how lord Shiva made swaras by the help of lord Vishnu and gave them form as Gandharvas representative of 7 swaras and created ragas. We are utilising such a treasure but lost respect for our culture and civilization.
      That's why Tabla maestro Alla Rakha, father of Zakir Hussain wakes him up 4 o clock in the morning and asks him to recite some sanskrit shlokas and then start the abhyas.
      That's why Amjaj Ali Khan (sarod) starts his day with Saraswati Vandana. Thanks Friend.

    • @arslanpower
      @arslanpower 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @ambika dash I understand your sentiments but the thing is.i also study music.. and the thing is there was no such thing of seven swaras in early history of music.. infact it evolved from two or three swaras..and that is not the point. the point is they are telling the history of modern classical music which is different from carnatic ones ..and khusro was the beginning point of that . That is correct. What existed before Muslim invasions in the northern part of india was something called:
      "prabhandhs". These prabhandhs were very very long and could only be rendered by very knowledgeable people. The great Miyan Tansen's guru, swami haridas, composed many vishnupadas and Miyan Tansen's, himself was also a great drupadiya, a great composer, a great musician in the palace court of Akbhar. prabhandhs contained mostly music that were all about God, such as things that resembled haveli Sangeet, vishnupadas, dhrupad, etc... This is before the "khayal gayaki" came into the picture. Palace Court musicians used to sing all pieces in praise of God. As mogul and Persian invasions happened, that is when the "khayal gayaki" came into the picture. That is why when "khayal" came into the picture it is said that Amir Khusru played a major role in popularizing the "khayal gayaki" because he is the one who could play several instruments well and he was also a vocalist and a composer and he invented the "tabla" which goes very well as accompaniment when singing "khayal gayaki"

      Hindustani not pure indian art it's mixed but Carnatic is pure indian and the ragas were put in the time of Akbar the great. Let's not deny that.
      The influenced of arabic maqam on.Hindustani music, you should listen to arabic maqams and see it's as beautiful as Hindustani ragas

      @@jagjag6383 let's not deny? I've listened to arabic maqams and they're extremely different from Hindustani Ragas. Both Hindustani and Carnatic are equally ancient and divine
