it seems like we are starting to see where the puzzle pieces are falling now. and there is a huge chance that an incursion with the aminated xmen universe is more then likely now. it would also help explain wht marvel decided to reboot the animated series as well.
Kelsey grammer is prefect as beast the characters even shares some similarities with frasier refined, sophisticated a lover of art reading etc. So excited to see him back.
I also think it's no coincidence that Beast looks almost identical to the animated series version. I think X-Men '97 will connect in more ways than we realize. And now that Monica is trapped in this universe, I believe this is the central universe that will collide with the MCU. I have a theory that this is also the universe where the Fantastic Four movie will take place, although I think they won't reveal that until a post-credit scene where Beast shows up to discuss the Monica situation with Reed.
That, or get called in to the illuminati to discuss the Strange situation...

Reason why Monice had to close it from the other side- when a crack forms between 2 vessels, that usually means one side of it putting excessive pressure on the threshold. In this case, that pressure was Darr-benn using those bangles. The way to close that crack was to put similar pressure from the other side, leading to equilibrium. Monica could have never returned once she had that realization.
Definitely would love for mcevoy and fassbender to be in the xmen world. Much as i adore Stewart and McKellen they are too old now to carry on with the franchise

It’s not 838, Charles is alive and Maria is Binary instead of Captain Marvel.
It’s not the X-Men 97 universe either since we already had Carol as Captain Marvel in that show and i think the equivalent to her in this universe is Maria as Binary.
I also don’t think they would create a whole new X-Men universe when Deadpool 3 is just around the corner and they’re exploring the Fox universe there.
That said, even though i wanted it to be the post-Days of Future Past Fox universe, I’m not sure it makes sense, even Beast's design looks way different. We'll have to wait and see.
I guess this is a hot take on the internet, but I thought they handled the post-credit scene very well, and honestly, I really didn't mind that they switched from practical to CGI. Beast looked good, in my opinion.

But he looks so goddamn animated, that I would prefer ANY "worse" practical version. Period.
I hate the new ALMOSTEVERYTHINGCGI-Films - it just doesn't look real. And I especially hate it because there are films out there that came out more then 20 years ago and had much more realistic and also cool looking masks/faces (The Lord of the Rings as a simple but effective example).
I'm well aware that today practical effects are often much more expensive than CGI, but it doesn't look real and I honestly can't fully enjoy it like the good old practical effects.
Please just look at Tom Pure-CGI-Spider-Boy Holland and good old Tobey Wearing-A-Real-F*cking-Costume-Spider-Man Maguire.
Just looooooooooook at them when they wear a costume: One is a real person with a REAL suit (pimped up with some visual effects of course), the other is a computer animated suit.
WOW. That much nice. So gud. Bravvo. Nice. Kool.
But well, make cheap films that gain much money is Disneys new motto. So how could I be disappointed, right?!
Re: Wanda and Ralph Bohner - I think it’s clear now that Wanda did indeed see the Evan Peter’s Quicksilver even prior to the death of HWR. As a “nexus being” she was never susceptible to HWR influence. If HWR’s death lines up with WV post-credits (hearing her 838 children), then we now know Wanda could always interact with the multiverse.

Well, it could very well be not 838, but 839 - a timeline branched from the events of Multiverse of Madness, in which Wanda was defeated by the Illuminatti, instead of killing them all.

On the other hand, when Beast was revealed they played John Ottman’s X2 theme (ie the Fox X-Men movie theme) as opposed to the animated theme.
Plus, the lab looks like the one fron the FOX films, and Beast is voiced by his first FOX actor, Kelsey Grammer, instead of his voice actor from the animated series, George Buza, who was brought back to reprise his role in the revival.

I would love it to be from 90s animated universe.
But we had Rogue's arc with Carol in the show, so we'd need a good explanation of how Maria is Binary here with Carol being Captain Marvel.
That being said, it's not difficult to retcon in and the name Binary can easily fit being used for a second half to Captain Marvel.

Another connection is that the Hickman Secret Wars comic run incorporated the '90's X-Men. Since they have already mined so much from Hickmans' various stories, this tracks. Great theory, I am all in!

I meant to put this out there last week, but the credits show that the X-men music of the movie is from X-2 the movie. So this universe that Monica Rambo is trapped in is from the Fox Universe.
Wolverine's outfit isn't based on the 90's. It's based on the '06 Astonishing X-Men comic. It has blue instead of black on most of the outfit. Notice the stripes are yellow instead of black. That makes it closer to the Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon of '09 instead of '92.
That being said, I think we're overdue for Anna Paquin's Rogue meeting Taylor Kitsch's Gambit.

Not sure how much I'd like this being an X-men '97 tie in, since that would mean a lot of the really good X-Men stories (Including a Secret Wars one) have already happened in MCU canon and wouldn't be probably wouldn't be adapted

THANK YOU! I’ve been shouting this from the rooftops since MoM. They’re bringing in live action versions of the animated X-men from the multiverse. I still hope that when the multiverse saga is over, they wipe the slate clean and completely recast, but give us the X-men in their own world without the avengers for a while. They have incredible stories that need to stand on their own.
bro marvel has gone to shit and will stay in the gutter till something incredible like maybe a daredevil level show comes out or just a good movie/TV show. I don't think the X-Men being in the MCU is gonna cut it for this dyung franchise. Trust me I love X-Men and especially the animated series but after the dark phoenix (which was horrible) I don't think the world needs X-Men ruined by wokeness of marvel

There's one problem with your theory, Ryan. Captain Marvel does show up in the X-Men animated series in the episode "A Rogue's Tale." and that Captain Marvel was Carol Danvers. I believe that The Marvel's post credit scene with Beast dressed up as the animated counterpart was purely for nostalgia and doesn't really confirm anything. If I had to take a guess, the universe where Monica wakes up in isn't 838 either since Maria was seemingly drained of her powers and then crushed by a giant statue, then Doctor Strange says, "They're not coming back, and you've just cast your vote now to kill your friends." So, it would be easier to say Monica is in a new universe where Maria is Captain Marvel, and the X-Men are a thing.

It's a ridiculous notion because of the real world circumstances of the actor, but there is some precedent for the suggestion:
Kang's name is Nathaniel Richards, the same name as Reed Richards' father, so there are times when his lineage connects directly to the F4. Then there's also wacky times when he turns out to be in the direct lineage of Doom!
So whatever face is behind the mask could be a great reveal. If it were Majors, and he is simply another variant, that could be an awesome twist. Especially after Kang is ultimately destroyed. It's another contingency plan.
Now, I highly doubt it, but it could be neat. Like the Von Doom family changes in the event that Kang bites the dust. Fun, timey whimey stuff.

C'mon, my dude. The movie hasn't even been out for a week. Do you have to show the post-credits mega-spoiler in the thumbnail? I'd be a heckin' lot more angry, if someone else didn't already spoil it in the exact same way, the day before the movie even came out. It's half You Tube's fault b/c I didn't even sub to the guy. It was just a random channel in the algorithm feed. "Hey, you like movies, here, look at this!" Should I just unsub to absolutely everyone and not even browse TH-cam when there's a movie I want to see? The new Ghostbusters is out soon. I was SUPER glad I didn't watch any trailers in the lead-up to Afterlife, b/c of the spoilers that marketing themselves put into the trailers. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire looks to have a really cool spooky villain in the shadows, but knowing TH-cam, all the thumbnails are just going to zoom in on every detail with red circles and big arrows and blow the big reveal long before its ever released. Surprises can be fun, man. Why'd you have to take this away from everyone with a thumbnail?

I love the Fox X-Men movie universe, but it was clear from the very first installment that we weren’t going to be getting the brightly colored and sometimes a little bizarre, Saturday morning cartoon that we had grown up with. So, you adjust your expectations and find the good in what you have, and there was so much good to be found in the movies.
We need a McKellen cameo & Fassbender back permanently.
I think you are definitely onto something with the animated series universe being more important. Plus, we did see Dr. Strange & America Chavez fall through an animated universe and turn into animated versions of themselves. It would be wild if the last episode of 97’ is that universe morphing into live action.

The mutations could be due to the Infinity stones. Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel’s powers got their powers from infinity stones too. Monica was affected by Wanda’s powers. Sure, Wanda had that power in her all along, but the stone’s radiation enhanced them and she still had to have some infinity radiation traces in her. Monica was affected by Wanda’s radiation powers, turning her into a mutant. I think Kamala’s bangles might have some radiation similar to the infinity stones too
Yeah she was out through torture or exposure to radiation. Professor x said that’s how someone could take out the x gene in a mutant. Wolverine went though the same thing, Deadpool, and wanda too
I had the same idea. The universe we saw was the closest one to colliding to us and the 97 show will be kinda our look into their story

Just got to correct a bit on professors x death in multiverse of madness. It’s not death by a neck snap, if you go frame by frame his face is split in two. Such a cool detail I wish was more popular, because it’s one of the most brutal deaths we’ve seen.

Days of Future Past theme was credited at the end of The Marvels. Do with that what you will.
i really doubt that they are going to use THE X Men from the cartoon, just X Men inspired by the cartoon, also is fitting that it's connected to the Marvels since Rouge took some of her powers from Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers) and in the current comics Ms Marvel (Kamala Khan) is part of the team, also Wanda and Pietro are the children of Magneto and members of the team
The return of Xavier is through the method used for Logan to slip through time. But this could be universe 1610 one of those other identified branches from prior to Loki becoming Good of stories and during the incursion from Spider-Man meeting his altered self, and Wanda Vision. It all rhymes 😂 This is fun
I’m hoping we see Archangel, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Gambit… maybe finally get a good Phoenix story… and since Deadpool and Wolverine are crossing over, bring Colossus along for the ride as well!
So I was rewatching the 90s X-Men animated series and something hit me. Carol Danvers is stuck in a coma in that universe. This could be why we see Maria Rambeau as Binary.
Is it just me or did Marvel miss a great chance to show Famke Jansson in the mid-credits scene of The Marvels? Besides the fact that the scene was a kinda sorta callback to the first time Jean Grey and Logan meet in the X-Mansion medbay, her original hero name in the X-Men comics was MARVEL Girl!
And there are rumors she’s in Deadpool 3 👀
The 90s animated Spider-Man series has to be my favourite version of Spider-Man in media. If that was canon to the MCU continuum, or we ever got a live-action version of that, that would be a dream come true.
Putting McAvoy in makes sense like you said. Age for Patrick.
You could do the same for the bulk of them. Hugh could be a variant, and we find a new Wolverine come DP 3. Or save that for after Secret Wars.
Remember in What If, a Natasha that was dead came into play from another universe since her original one was dead anyhow. They can do the same here if Hugh wants to really hang it up and Feige wants to do a proper send off.

If they are using X-men ‘97 they are most likely going to use Freshman Year and Marvel’s Zombies as well. What If and the other animated projects as well could make up Battleworld.
And now the big question: would they also use Sony's animated projects too?
