    That’s impressive, loved the mild steel cut did not expect that kind of feed! Only problem is in my shop the owner would shit if we sent a fly cutter across a pcs of steel like that. Can’t have the chips bead blasting the paint on the inside of the machine. It’s actually the craziest thing I have ever seen in a machine shop can’t scratch the paint on the inside. Recently he had a operator slow down a dynamic cut in aluminum that I programmed because the chips were hitting the walls to hard. Not sure how we’re gunna compete anymore if he continues the do this!! Man wish I lived in Texas so I could apply at Titans. Anyways always love Barry’s videos!!!

    • @davidrockey7190
      @davidrockey7190 ปีที่แล้ว

      PS castings absolutely awesome they don't even wear out I've been using the same insert not even indexed it yet for weeks cast iron. Moe's Stewart like hot knife going through butter 150 dept two and a half inch wide cut 36 in to 27 per minute. And you know when you get a casting there's a half an inch to 3/4 of material to remove on all sides and when you can lessen that time that's where you make money 🤑

    • @RoboDriller
      @RoboDriller ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@barrysetzer it almost stalled out. Part was only 2.5" long. I bet 3" would have stopped the spindle. Or maybe just lowered the rpms into the highest torque curve? But I went 1/2 the depth of cut, everything else what you recommended and the robodrill takes it. Still 100%+ spindle load. That's why I always ask for robodrill content.

    • @TITANSofCNC
      @TITANSofCNC  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Just keep the RPM’s and drop the feed by 40%
      And then creep up in feed until you hit 80% load…
      Then Run It.
      Different machines have to be tweaked based on Hp, Torque etc.
      Robodrills are fast but don’t have the torque or HP

      Most shops will setup a machine for a production run, and put the inserts in all of their tools as needed, and then run that production run and not be changing inserts all day long, only need to change inserts if your changing materials, which doesn't happen that often at most places, obviously if your a prototype or small jobs shop than you would want a couple of these with different inserts in them...
