Every time I sing this miraculous piece of Mozart's work,I pray to God in the most sincere way and I thank Him for what he has given me,for my beloved family and for beeing able to sing!In my prayers, there is always a special person, the one that believed in me like no one else and made it possible for me to go in the world and sing! That's Rene Cillien,"Ben",and I want him and his wife Monika to know that they are always in my heart and thoughts! This is for you!May God be with us all! Irina
Eram in cor cand s-a cantat aceasta missa minunata ... nu am cuvinte cat de frumoasa poate fi si mai ales ce interpretare i-a dat soprana ... superb :-)
I like the gentle tempo here - it showcases the dignified pulse of the chorus and orchestra beneath the beautiful, rich voice of Ms Iordachescu in that lovely, soaring line that only Mozart could write, celebrating the human voice, touching the eternal. A great performance of a celestial work.
Mozart's autograph score stops after the Et Incarnatus Est in the Credo. We have copies (presumably of Mozart's originals) of more or less the complete versions of the Sanctus and Benedictus, but that's it. We are missing everything else after the Et Incarnatus Est, so we don't have Crucifixus, Et Resurrexit, Et in Spirito Sancto, or Et Vitam Venturi sections with which to end the Credo. Similarly, there are no original materials for the Agnus Dei or Dona Nobis Pacem movements. Here, the music from the Kyrie has been set to the Agnus Dei and Dona Nobis Pacem text, but it is highly unlikely, in my opinion, that Mozart would have done this. Dr. Robert Levin wrote a completion of the Great C Minor Mass in 2004 which, using as much original Mozart material as he could find (from sketches Mozart made during the same time as writing the C Minor Mass) to complete the work. I suggest that anybody who's interested have a listen to what Dr. Levin has done - it's rather compelling.
La musica del video in visione , viene dal cielo dove vi sono intelligenze superiori. Troppo perfetto..troppa perfezione, troppo bello! Dio ha dato un incarico a Mozhart.
i think this piece is one of the greatest pieces ever written, yet its the music that shows me great beauty and power, and grace and i could go on. Of course there is nothing wrong with believing in god, yet i enjoy other pieces of music as i do this one that have no relations to any deity or religion. lets not forget some others have similar experiences through harsh rock etc.
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RENDITION OF MAZART`S GREAT MASS THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD.....IRINA IS NOT ONLY TALENTED BUT VERY CAPTIVATING ! I READ HER COMMENTS BELOW AND NOW I KNOW WHY......HER HEART IS THE FEMININE IMAGE OF GOD HIMSELF ! SUCH BEAUTY IS FOR ETERNITY ! :~) FLYBOY STINSON
Mozart didn't write an Angus dei and didn't put all the words from the Credo to music. Nice touch by this ensemble. Why it it's incomplet can be explained in this way: Most religious music from this time was commissioned work. This is not commissioned by any church or bishop. He wrote, maybe to fullfill his own religious belifes, but mostly so Constanze, his wife could sing Soprano I and convince his father to accept their marrige. He didn't have time to write music that didn't gave him money.
@jfsanin Being in church -especially mass -should feel like heaven (because it is a share in heavenly realities). But when this kind of music is dumped for banal modern music, it is no wonder we don't feel like we went to heaven!!

One of the best voices I ever heard. I felt I was not in a church but in heaven.jfsanin

I love the music in the background. It is powerful and tense as if to foretell doom or a battle.
