thanks for sharing your thoughts and video of your splitting stand, i need to build a stand for myself. I enjoy your videos keep them coming. thanks again from central illinois
Thanks the small things you show in your videos and the comments really do help. The details and the mistakes made and the overcoming of things that go wrong shown in your videos is what separates you from the rest of the Tube world. Of course it doesn't hurt that you are man enough to show your carrying for the Dogs and your concern for people like your costumers daughter. GOD bless and keep the videos coming!
Last time we split a tractor in our shop was the mx 135 with my good mechanic friend..we used the big floor jack...yours is better. I wish you could come over here ..we could be wrenching for 2 straight weeks on my equipment that's broke down right now Haha
Yeah, I watch your videos and you obviously don't just buy them to look at them. When you use them , stuff breaks. Seems that cold weather is the hardest on equipment.
repair you bet. My mx 135 has a pretty bad oil leak on the front of the engine..that might be a little tough for myself...and a bad wheel seal which is a piece of cake for me. My mx210 has a bad wheel seal and they say you need special tools for that one. My d6 has a seal leaking in the trans..and my 2290 needs to be split for a torque dampener
Yeah, there's plenty to do there. There's always something to work on. I've done those mini mag front seals and the only special tool I remember was a pair of 90 degree snap ring pliers for the snap ring on the inside of the knuckle. I just made a pair out of some large otc pliers.
western truck and tractor repair like you say warren they’re a pair of snap ring pliers with 2 bends in them, fairly certain the Case IH tool was an OTC pair! I did a few of those wheel seals on those magnums, they didnt seem to like the 3m centres when they’re running controlled traffic or raised beds.
Next time I have to split a tractor I have been planing on building something similar. I have always used a 10 ton floor jack with a kinda cradle welded to it but it was always a little tippy. I have never dropped one but was always concerned I would.
could you please post a video giving some detailed dimensions for this splitting stand base. Also could you please do a video of some dismantling stands for telehandler transmissions if you have made any. Especially for JCB 540-70 and 541-70 torque convertors and transmissions if you could thank you. A video showing the whole boom being removed from a JCB or other telehandler would be useful. These videos give vital forewarning of what to expect before having to tackle these jobs for ourselves and are a vital aid to be used alongside the workshop service manuals .There are also some other good videos on You Tube John Deere Right to Repair is interesting.
That looks like a handy tool for some tractors but I don't know if it would be stout enough for some of those heavy built John Deere's like a 3032E....
western truck and tractor repair can you do a truck tour of your current and when you update to the new truck. I’m interested in what you keep on a truck. I’m getting onto a truck.
Thanks for showing the stand. New sub to your channel. Got some of those old allies haven't had to split any of them yet.Nice to see what has to be done.
I saw that thing and said to myself SELF you need to build that! Thanks for this video
Damn warren i wish i could come in and help you work on stuff a little from time to time and learn stuff you are the man!!
Always a treat when one of your video comes out.
I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to splitting tractors. This short tutorial is a big help when that time comes, thanks.

Works well Warren thinking out of the square is a dying art keep up the great work 👍
Thank you sir.
I appreciate the videos. I’ve been an import auto technician for my whole career but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy learning about diesel equipment.
I love your videos I'm a John Deere Tec for Thomason tractor in firebaugh CA Keep up the good work.

Thanks buddy for sharing this with us.
Nice work , very clever and handy .
That's awesome - very good ingenuity - not much cost if you don't include your time - how many hours to make - just curious
Warren I like that tool, when we split wheel loaders down we use another machine or an excavator
Great video and thanks for sharing.
Very handy piece of equipment and well made too.
