14:10 the salary is what you’re offering them in year 1. With your own players (bird rights) the raises would be 8% off that, UFAs will be 5%. That’s why it says back 5% bc it’s back loaded w 5% raises. Obv you can front load or back load a contract as well. You can see it on the side under cap hit each year. They round up it seems but ya:
$32.74M Y1
$32.74M * 1.05 = Y2 ($34.377M, rounded up to 34.38M)
$32.74M * 1.1 = Y3 ($36,014,000 rounded to $36.02M)
$32.74M * 1.15 = Y4 ($37,651,000 rounded to $37.66M)
4/$140,782,000 before it rounds it, 4/$140.8M rounded. So that’s what your offer was, 3+1 so Y4 is a player option. That was their offer as well, it’s the max someone can offer without having bird rights. 4 years at the 30% max aka the 7-9 year experience max (Kawhi had 8y at the time or that’s what 2K says, so in FA all he can get is that 30% max) is his max bc of 8 my experience.
If he had 10+ it’d be 35% of the cap with 5% raises. Or if he qualified for 35% max by making All-NBA etc. for the team who drafted him or acquired him while still on his rookie deal. Then they could offer 35% max w/ 8% raises up to 5 years. In this situation, Kawhi would prolly sign somewhere at a 3+1, opt out after 3 years, then ask for the 35% max with 8% raises.
A little cap nerdery here for fun. Figured I’d point it out, I’m sure 2K messes cap stuff up all the time (I mean I know they do lol) but they seemingly get this concept right. A lot of stuff they do is straight up wrong tho, and it’s even funnier bc they’ve asked cap experts questions about p simple things, never pay them, and end up still messing up most of it.
If you read past this it’s really long and u likely don’t care. I’m in the hospital at 4AM (I get out Monday finally) and you can never sleep in these places so I have nothing better to do.
If they were an ethical company what so ever, they’d fly out one of those guys for like a week, pay them a decent wage + expenses, and have them work with them to make MyNBA realistic from a cap standpoint or at least reasonably realistic to where it’s still fun. Unfortunately they aren’t, and don’t. Pretty wild because this game makes piles of money, they sell 10M+ copies a year + obscene VC sales, and they can’t even fly a guy out, put him in a nice hotel for a week, have him work with them for like 5-6 days for maybe 6-7h/day (so 30-35h or so total) and pay them like $500/hr. $15K maybe $18K is literally peanuts to them and just that small amount of time would fix SOOOO much but they don’t care.
I mean $15K pay, say $1500 for a round trip business class or 1st class round trip flight depending on distance, 7 nights at a nice hotel maybe $300/night + the crazy fees maybe $2,500. Hotel would surely be close to the studio or w/e, so they could have an intern pick him up or get U-black cars (6 trips there, 6 back, one from the airport, airport one prolly like $100, other 12 short drives so around $350 max) so we have $15K + $1500 + $2500 + $450 = $19,450. Then food for 7 days let’s call it $20K even.
They make that in an hour from VC 😂. It just shows how little they care. Bc I know a guy that specializes in CBA stuff and he told me they called him and asked like 5 questions that were all really really basic, he answered to be nice. They didn’t even send him a free game lmaooooo. Dude is older he doesn’t play video games but come on, not even a swag bag or something? Crazy.

Lol Aaron vs Draymond is rather have Gordon better spacer and spot up shooter and got defensively as , well Draymond a small ball center is good defensive presence, and that's it and this day in age u need offense and defense so Arron Gordon fits the mold better, Draymond is overrated cuz of the team he plays with if he was on a play in or lottery team he definitely would get the same recognition lol 🤣
