These excavators on lorries destroy roads at their weakest point. We have a great deal of them building houses in our hills. Those are actually pretty small bore drainage pipes. Will it not silt up?
Only time will tell. The flow of water is quit strong (80 cm slope over 20 meters pipe). So far we have gone through two rainy seasons. The "canal" (between the entrance and exit) does fill up, so we have to maintain it.
@@Living-off-grid There WILL be a way to do it. Its just that you get this clay slip slurry that soon bakes into a pretty solid mass. The weather will give you an overdose of water, plus everything in suspension carried in it. Then kiln like heat to bake it. By this time water is scarce again!!! Still- You have water in the reservoir. Just borrow an irrigation pump and small hildren with shovels!
That is not a bad idea, but 20 meters of pipe that big costs a fortune and is not easy to place. These were heavy as it was. And the slope over 20 meters is 80 cm, so it should clean itself pretty good.

I think I would have used a larger pipe so you could physically go in it to clear it to clear the pipe out.
