New Brake Pad & Rotor Kit from 1AAuto.com trq.video/ia-1...
This video shows you how to install front brake pads and rotors on your 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey. Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes.
This repair was done on a 2011 Honda Odyssey and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2011 Honda Odyssey
2012 Honda Odyssey
2013 Honda Odyssey
2014 Honda Odyssey
2015 Honda Odyssey
2016 Honda Odyssey
2017 Honda Odyssey

don't forget to remove the cap from the brake reservoir before compressing the caliper, or you'll pop a line. Don't ask me how I know this...
Excellent demo! TRQ has the best how to videos!
When you are greasing the pins, do you use recommend any type of grease? I have seen some people use silicone lubricant, it seems like you use anti-seize. Any difference ?
That seems like a large amount of grease. It would help if you also mentioned not getting grease at the end of the slides because that could cause your pads to wear unevenly. I remove the cap from the brake reservoir before compressing the calipers and use one of those cooking basting "things" to suck out the extra from the brake reservoir. Thanks for the information!
This is great but aren’t the pins supposed to get silicone? Grease will swell the boots. Also, aren’t caliper bracket bolts single use and/or requiring loctite?
Are you sure the caliper bolt torque is 27 ft-lbs? The Honda specs seem to say 37 ft-lbs.
Good work. What grease do you recommend for the pins and bracket?
Thanks for helping to map out the job
You can use the improved dual-vented rotor design to stop these vehicles (2011-2014 Odyssey) from warping the original design rotors. Order rotors (aftermarket or OEM) for a 2015-2017 Odyssey. None of the noise that aftermarket slotted rotors make, very smooth stops and pedal feel, and much better cooling.
I absolutely have enjoyed and used the information from your content. I can't thank you enough. How do you know you are torquing to the correct ppsi? Do you have a special wrench? Please share.
+Don Caba Torque Wrench.
This channel is honestly the best.
+@Dan.Parker Thanks for the feedback! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

Harbor Freight representn!
How many ugga duggas is 120ft/lbs?
do you need screw to hold rotors in? It looks like you didn't replace the one that broke off ...
Another Great video.
