Great drill. I would add that after your first catch to backhand toss to third base (for SS) or to second base (for 2B) before your second catch. Gives you one more thing to be improving while doing the drill instead of just tossing the ball down in a pile.
@@MegRemSoftball do you have training programs in DFW - Mckinney area that you recommend? TY!! Btw we use your training videos in my rec league team practices all the time! They have been so valuable!!
I just toss to the side to get the ball out of the way. When I actually throw side arm, that's like if I am a SS throwing to second base or second base throwing to 1st
Which of your videos would you recommend for an 8U player that just finished her first season and wants to get better over the summer break? She loves your videos BTW!
Keep the videos coming..they’re great!!!

Why do you step with outside foot first?
the toss to the side and then the "side arm" throw. Is that to practice if you were coming from second or short, with a throw to second?

How does this work for the lefthanded player.
Start to the right of the cones and footwork will be opposite. (right left field toss, left right field throw)
What area do you train in?
Charlotte, NC but I am moving to West Palm Beach, FL in April.
On that throw are you opening hips toward the target for a more accurate throw?
As I am throwing my hips come open a bit. More so, my right hip.
Why are you not throwing it from the top, I'm just wondering.
Because in order to have a quicker release, I throw more side arm
@@MegRemSoftball ok thank you
What size of glove you use , just curious , I've seen your clips with multiple gloves all look game ready
My teal one is 11.5 and I have an off white Rawlings 11.25. I hate anything above 11.5.
@@MegRemSoftball I hear ya , 11.5 is the one . Thx for responding. Your videos are amazing and to the point . In a short time .. love em.

I would say any of the fielding videos are very easy to understand!
