    These are still very helpful and appreciated greatly! I just had two 7th grade daughters start using them and they have noticed a difference, in less than a week of doing them. Thank you very much!!!

    Great drills Megan... I have been using the "stop the load for 1-2 seconds" drill, and the smaller girls are getting much more power. Not for distance, but for exit speed from the infield. All your drills have been so on point, and your explanation is perfect. Keep em' coming! Great Work!

    I have watched maybe 6 - 7 of your videos and you are doing a great job on your explanations, video POV's and simplicity of the drills. Great work, enjoy your tutorials!

    Great content, thanks for this! I'm trying to improve my swing for slow pitch, do you think these are just as effective for that or would I need different technique?

    Cannot thankyou enough- as a first year coach and a 11 year slow pitch player, words cannot express how greatful i have been to find your channel.
    I just finished coaching my son's tball team and now im coaching my daughter's softball team- alot of your drills, techniques and relays that you utilize debunk alot of the "baseballers" mentality which ive tried for years to debunk. Your techniques show mutliple time and time again that although similar, softball and baseball are different and should be treated as such. If your ever in Virginia please come out a visit us- the girls would be extremely excited to meet you as your passion, determination and simplicity to your lessons is something that we all aspire to our teams.

      These should be "drills" for a skilled & well-established player/hitter. This should not be done with a "new to the game" player. These "drills" accentuate the nuances of hitting. I feel they should not be tried by a new or young player. These are the type of fun drills that can screw up a young player. There will be players that will attempt to walk in the batter's box or jump back while the pitch is coming, or stand on one foot or whatever "technique Meg comes up with to have hitters focus on a component of hitting....

    What is a good drill for when the young player is transferring all their weight to the front leg?

    • @MegRemSoftball
      @MegRemSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Put something right in front of her front foot and it'll force her to stay behind the front side.

    My daughter does this weird thing where she hops up and forward off her back leg into her front leg instead of the back knee going forward and down....loses all her power and buries into the front leg. We've tried everything to fix it. Nothing works. What do you recommend? Thanks in advance.

      i know this is from a year ago but you can get one of those small half yoga balls them have her out her back foot on one of those and then hit

    What does she mean with “staying on your legs”?

    • @MegRemSoftball
      @MegRemSoftball  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really get in your legs to generate power.

      @@MegRemSoftball Thank you for answering, but I still dont understand. I started Softball in my late 30ties, mayb that's why... Or it might be a term that used often in USA by all softballers and everyone know what does it mean, but I really dont get what is "getting in your leg". How do you "generate power" in the legs? What do you do with your legs when you "get into them"? I get only cramps in them when I imagine whatever it means :))))
