Softball Infield Drill- Throwing On The Run

  • Throwing on the run. Let’s focus on the actual throw. 👇🏼
    •After you field the ball, stay in your right leg while throwing. Use your core to create some velocity.
    •Your arm slot is a little lower. I like to think- ball goes from the waist to even with the shoulder. This is all side arm.
    •While on your right leg about to let go of the ball, have your hips and shoulders open a bit to your target.
    •As you throw, do your best to not fall away from your target. Keep your momentum going forward and in a straight line, not kicking out to the side.
    •Keep your head still and locked into your target.

    Can you do a practice plan with examples? Like 3-4 stations that can be rotated for a tea of 12-14? Love your drills.
