- Lighthouse Central Florida offers Orientation and Mobility classes to persons with low vision or blindness of all ages. Orientation and Mobility training provides individuals with improved ability to travel safely and independently in their environment. Training is provided in the home, community, educational setting or work place.
Orientation and Mobility training includes tasks such as: helping a senior safely navigate in the area immediately outside of the home, orienting a college student to classrooms on a campus or teaching an individual how to safely cross a street or use public transportation. No I’m not in Florida but I’m in Springfield Missouri and I really think what your doing is a great thing.
I was born with a condition called Retinopathy Of Prematurity and I can see, but I am limited so things like walking across a busy street honestly scares me.
I'm 24 years old and in 2005 I was diagnosed with a autoimmune disease called Polyarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. I also have an eye disease called Uveitis. I've also been treated for an Iritis.

+LighthouseCFL It's a great information. and what do you think about the blind lanes or tactile ground surface indicators on the sidewalks? can a person have a good mobility without walking on then? I mean.. is it better for blind people walking on a plane area or walking on these marked blocks on the street?
Hello my name is Jordan Manny and I am visually impaired aired and I'm from Ireland if you want to make or create tactile lining for a visually impaired person I recommend having a railing or something that they can reach onto their hands and they know that they are using a tactile surface because it's the same thing on the bus won't you hold onto the bar you know you're walking in the lining and I think that will help I thought I give my advice here

I was thinking about how stupid that comment was and I thought, blind people can't read with their toes.
I’d get scared 😱 just trying to cross the street.
But I have lots of disabilities not just vision impairments.
