I got Daikin inverter type (3years old) outdoor unit is a bit loud and its PCB board is so bad once my house got power dropped or surged many times the PCB board will broke and paid 140$ to replace. I also got Carrier inverter type (3 years old) it still works very well and the outdoor unit is so quiet.

True. Technical team of carrier is poor. Firstly, they do faulty installation by which gas got empty due to major leakage after a year and also it got noice issues which got fix up by asking service for 3 times. AC is great but not the installation and service team

Carrier is a very good brand. These ACs have come a long way and now they are performing very good. My personal experience. Also Lg is a very good AC brand you can try. Don't buy Daikin, last 2-3 years Daikin machines have become very bad quality. Again my personal experience. Go for 1.5 ton and 3 star is fine enough. If you have budget then only go for 5 star otherwise not much difference in energy consumption

Remote response jyadatar split ACs ka itna perfect nahi hota. Mere Lloyd ka bhi bekar hai and LG ka bhi. But it's manageable. Baki room ko sahi tarah se air tight rakhna jitna ho sake, cooling problem honi nahi chahiye, hopefully 👍

bhai comparing 3 star with 5 star is so foolish as electrical units power consumption is very high and iseer efficiency is so poor of 3 star . Actually 3 star ac should be banned . I am an engineer but cant understand what is technical difference in 3 star and 5 star as compressor model and indoor outdoor units size dimensions are same and so is fan model . What is design difference then I am unable to understand . Is pcb deliberative designed to consume more power to fool customers with very high price difference . Also Also sabsey important cheez bhai ney batayi nahi . Cooling watts kitni hai 5280 cooling watts is exact 18000 btu ie 1.5 t and most companies loosely say 1.5 t but cooking capacity less than 5280 cooling watts. In fact both LG and Daikin some models earlier were only 4800 cooling watts ie 16398 btu . I am an engineer but fail to understand technically what is difference between 3 star and 5 star in electical kilo watt hour ie per hour electrical units when compressor is same model and indoor outdoor units are same quality and dimension size including the fan then what is the difference technically but 3 star and 5 star price is huge. In fact 3 stars should be banned by Govt as power wastage if its actually true saving and from what in design components.. Annual consumption kw units is a joke and misleading and it gets over in less than one month. Every electrical unit press or toaster has electrical units consumed and instead of making a fool of customers on max load electical consumption in kilo watts should be given . One check is current in amps 6.1 amps consumed on full load will result in bill saving in units. I had bought samsung ac 1.5 t but had to always run in turbo mode to cool properly. Also TCL 1.5 ton ac ultra compressor also cooled a much bigger room 18.5 x 13 ft ie 240 sq ft. but Daikin and all makes lg etc say room size is upto 150 sq mtr for 1.5 t is a big joke . ISEER rating for 5 start is ok for comparison along with annual kilo watts units. GAS should be r 32 and of course all coils indoor and outdoor only copper. Turbo mode is a must for instant cooling at high speed. Convertible mode tonnage can be a plus point provided cooling capacity is correct as per cooling watts and btu and will result in power bill saving to increase or reduce tonnage cooling capacity provided ac cools better which is primary design objective of ac and should work in high temp of 52 or 54 degrees weather in india in summers and also keeps electrical units consumption low less than 1300 kw ie 1.3 units consumption per hour.

Then Daikin is made is India in Rajasthan. Is it no longer Japanese? American doesn't mean it's made in America and imported in India.... It's the brand that is American and Japanese. Ofcource carrier has collaborated with Midea for ac supply in India but the Chinese OEM makes ac as per brand guidelines just like Japanese have their guidelines to make ac doesn't matter where they are made. The brand decides the basic specs of the product like size, dimensions, coil diameter, filter technology, exhaust technology etc. Just manufacturing is done by Chinese OEM to cut the cost.
