After his performance I went down (stage left) to see if I can find him and I noticed a little gathering. It turns out it was an exclusive meet and greet. The guy at the door asked me if I was on the list and all I had to say was yes lol. The picture is on my Facebook page (Wilfredo Lopez)

I appreciate your comment so much! It helped me as a beginner to train my ears more when listening to jazz pieces and solos. Can you please do a solos breakdown like the above for this concert ( th-cam.com/video/PQ-yXQItCGg/w-d-xo.html ) also? Thank you so much!
yeah that was sick....and Victor Goines pushing those guys to keep going.... they both look back at him, with a look of "are you crazy, ..damn time to dig deep!"
I was there that night. I spent a litle moment with Carlos, Walter, Wynton, Víctor. They are really great musicians. I hope some day they might come to our DR Jazz Festival. Who knows....
The "It" thing, what IS the "it" in which we speak about. The thing which is the shadow of it's possessor. Such an eternal mystery, a space in the ever emerging soul.
amazing compositions and improvisations if you like jazz you're going to love it! This should had got more hit than this. They tell the story of the golden age of jazz with some pretty swinging melodies and ensemble play .
Que maravillosa demostración de arte. El dominio de la instrumentación por cada uno de los ejecutantes y la selección de las piezas. Reiteró CADA QUIEN ESCUCHA LA MUSICA QUE PUEDE.
35:50 Drunk as a skunk. My Grand Father was kicked out of the USA in 1928 by the Mob for brewing better booze than they did. Hence I was born in 1976 in Mayo, Ireland !

uber great (not the movie). Super wonderful. Thank you. The finest! Giants standing on the shoulders of Giants. The drummer is stupendous. The primary saxophonist is untouchable - great clarity and huge oomph. The orchestration is so tight, it's untouchable.
I guess Elliot Mason is the best trombonist I've ever heard. His solos are allways elegant, dynamic, powerful and packed with tasteful ideas and surprises. Love it!
Saw these guys in a very small theater (200ish) in a very small town here in the Lower Yakima Valley. They held music clinics in some local schools, which they always do on the road. When they came back to the theater for a late afternoon sound check, some local upper elementary/junior high kids were there. One young fellow was alone on stage when Wynton came up to him and asked, "What instrument do you play?" The youngster enthusiastically answered, "The trumpet!" Wynton took him by the shoulder and walked him to a chair and said, "Well, let's both sit here and do the sound check." Can you imagine what that means to that kid now and to the end of his days?
I was at this concert. I managed to sneak into the back and took a picture with wynton marsalis

Excellent and explossive sax tenor and soprano Jon Irabagon, the guess star! Different solos from every one in this concert!! Claps claps!
I love the way all these respectable jazz musicians look like heavy-weight boxers and you would NEVER mess with them or disrespect them ! 🤗
This concert made my soul feel GOOD!!!!
They play MUSIC. No mo words. Jazz. Made in America, enjoyed in Wetzlar, Germany. 👌
No one gonna talk about how ridiculous Jon Irabagon is on sax?? He is criminally underrated
Paul brought the fire too especially on the second tune
bro he was hot garbage

Laboratory of Ideas is the Best!. I've never seen a tuba in a jazz ensemble. Awesome.
To playing Sax then pulling out the piccolo and flute then from playing the trombone and pulling out a sousaphone! What a talented orchestra!
Wonderful concert. Thank you all for posting this.
"Laboratory of ideas" is the best one. It's such a fountain of excellent and fresh ideas. ❤
All the soloists are super and Wynton, as always, gives them something to think about. Hes fabolous.
