My guess is they made this game disappointing because they want people to give maximum appreciation for what they are planning on making which (according to my completely imaginated theory) a freeroam rpg style offline game that makes you feel like a real pokemon trainer for their next main series release...
I also think they tried to make this game playable for people who love pokemon and have grown to have low standards over the past 5 generations in pokemon's main series history

@Rage virus and zombification are 2 diverse concepts It's easy up to the champion who can destroy you if you don't expect him to be that strong. He'll easily outlevel you too if you don't train at all. I trained to the level I thought he was gonna be and it was pretty close. With my post game team he's a joke though.

Tbf later on grass type attack e is ineffective against so many typing and you'd not use it as much. Also Pokemon story mode is always purposely made to be easy since the target demographic is kids.

So my cat, Franki, recently came down with a pretty severe stomach virus. The vet gave me some anti biotic drops to put in his food but when I’d do that Franki wouldn’t touch it. So, the vet suggested using a small dropper tube to insert the medicine directly into his anus. The first time was absolute hell, my cat fought me the whole time but once the tube was in and the medicine pushed out he seemed to calm quite a bit. Well the next day he was acting strange, he has always been an independent cat, rarely coming around, never wanting to be held, but as I sat on the couch he started walking back and forth meowing and rubbing my leg. He then went and jumped up on the table where we’d done the application the night before and meowed louder and louder until I decided I guess we will go ahead and do the medicine treatment. This time he didn’t fight me though, and when I inserted the tube he closed his eyes, stretched his neck, and let out a noise that can only be described as a moan of pure ecstasy. Maybe the medicine made him feel better, I supposed. That night he slept on my bed curled up right next to me, which he had never done before. For the next week he’d do the same thing every day, meow on the table until he got his ‘fix’... But then the medicine ran out. Even though I had no medicine he’d still cry and beg for it, I thought maybe if I insert it without medicine he will realize it doesn’t make him feel better anymore and forget about it. Well that was 2 weeks ago and he is only getting worse. He walks around me all day with his tail up presenting his rectum and trying to entice me. He is demanding insertions more and more often. Yesterday I caught him looking longingly at the turkey baster... When I sit he jumps in my lap purring and rubbing me affectionately. It was then in horror I realized my cat thinks I’m his gay lover, and that I’ve been sexually pleasing him for weeks now. Needless to say the sexual tension between us is palpable. Rage virus and zombification are 2 diverse concepts yeah the main story of pokemon got significantly worse starting from generation 6 (2013). i think the best part of the series nowadays is the competitive scene. it's super interesting how deep the battle system can get.
Way shorter and more satisfying in an action game. In Pokemon after the attack animation you have to sit through the HP bar draining, the text telling you the enemy fainted, the enemy faint animation, maybe some failure of a witty line from the other trainer if they're an important character, then them sending out their next Pokemon. It may only be a few seconds but during that time you're not doing anything, not preparing the next attack or running to the next challenge or defending from the next enemy, you're just waiting.
Anti-Villains are the best kind of villains if they are properly fleshed out and not "Oh yeah I just want to help people" after an entire storyline of them eating babies or something.
I kinda liked it :D Its not like everyone is just good guy, they are still villains - honestly, this is one of the only pokemon that really effectively employ these kinds of characters.

Pokémon has stagnated brutally since XY came out in 2013. In the last 8 years, there has been 4 new main series games and 2 major DLC, yet mega evolution is still the last exciting thing to be introduced in this franchise.
I have been an ardent Pokémon fan for a good decade now and it sucks to see what the franchise has become. I have played and completed every mainline game from Platinum to USUM, but once the national dex controversy hit and after finding out megas would be cut entirely (absolutely the best gimmick and should’ve been a main series stay), I knew something was up. With the series' massive hardware upgrade, there’s no excuse for the games being as ugly as they are. The games are too easy (mandatory exp share and now affection as of BDSP) and the formula, outside of Legends: Arceus (god I hope that game ends up being good, graphics aside) remaining pretty much unchanged since forever. I will forever miss the gen 4-5 golden age and hope Pokémon can get their act together before they remake gen 5.
Gen 6 was my first game, and I’ve only played it along with Sun & Moon. I loved 6, and thought 7 was alright, but I never played any of the previous games. I’m also hoping that the Gen 5 remakes will capture the spirit of the original, because I would love to experience one of the best entries in the franchise.

It only really started to go down after X and Y, with simplified routes and easy hand-holding gameplay, and overall a weaker story and less interesting characters than it’s predecessors.
It has been like this for a few gens now... I grew up with Gen 1 and 2 and that shit was easy at first, and then it really started to get more and more difficult for real, crossing your fingers you didn't get critical hit. And you couldn't overlevel your pokemons too much because then they wouldn't obey you anymore! It was all strategy and planning. Nowdays it's just a walk in the park.

I think the problem is that when you see "behind the magic" and you discover the developers of something you loved so much don't care about it at all, and just want to make a quick buck with it makes every pokemon game have that thought in the back of your mind "Did the developers really did this out of love?" And then pokemon lost its magic to me I will forever remember the fun moments i had with this franchise, but for me at least, party's over

That last pokemon, the turtle Pokemon, razor leaf was 4 times effective against it. It's water rock. With a stab bonus it took 6 times more damage from Razor leaf...and it lived. That was Boros right there. Except for the part where it did damage. Saitama would have never taken damage.

@Voltage, dragon guy personally I found the halved Pokedex has given me the opportunity to use Pokemon I've never used before, like Steelix, Abomasnow, VikaVolt, and Dusknoir. Plus if we're being honest. Pokemon was always pretty easy. There are dozens of videos going over the game breaking glitches in generation 1, like how to get a level 100 Nidoking before Brock, and how Psychic types Were insanely broken. From what I've found, the fun of Pokemon comes from using a variety of Pokemon to see what works, and with the cut dex, it's forced me to be more creative as I've said. You can think what you think, I was just giving my opinion.
@@lardassbutternut3060 It's a lot more unbalanced now than it ever has been. Certain Pokemon are almost necessary to use now. I didn't like 7th gen that much, but it was a lot easier to use the Pokemon you wanted to instead of what's meta. Instead of balancing things, they just made things a lot more uniform, and that's kind of a cop-out. Some new things they added were cool, yeah, but we'd be far better having a meta with more power creep than a lazy attempt at balance by removing characters, instead of just improving old ones, or fixing issues with new ones. I mean, they got close last time. Pelipper, Dodrio, and Dugtrio all got a lot more play after their buffs in 7th gen. I don't see why they couldn't just sit down and do that again. It's annoying that they tried to even use competitive as an excuse to not finish their game, and continue to have the gall to not even fix the problems with it. I wasn't arguing with you or anything, I was just giving you my perspective as a long-time competitive player.

So my cat, Franki, recently came down with a pretty severe stomach virus. The vet gave me some anti biotic drops to put in his food but when I’d do that Franki wouldn’t touch it. So, the vet suggested using a small dropper tube to insert the medicine directly into his anus. The first time was absolute hell, my cat fought me the whole time but once the tube was in and the medicine pushed out he seemed to calm quite a bit. Well the next day he was acting strange, he has always been an independent cat, rarely coming around, never wanting to be held, but as I sat on the couch he started walking back and forth meowing and rubbing my leg. He then went and jumped up on the table where we’d done the application the night before and meowed louder and louder until I decided I guess we will go ahead and do the medicine treatment. This time he didn’t fight me though, and when I inserted the tube he closed his eyes, stretched his neck, and let out a noise that can only be described as a moan of pure ecstasy. Maybe the medicine made him feel better, I supposed. That night he slept on my bed curled up right next to me, which he had never done before. For the next week he’d do the same thing every day, meow on the table until he got his ‘fix’... But then the medicine ran out. Even though I had no medicine he’d still cry and beg for it, I thought maybe if I insert it without medicine he will realize it doesn’t make him feel better anymore and forget about it. Well that was 2 weeks ago and he is only getting worse. He walks around me all day with his tail up presenting his rectum and trying to entice me. He is demanding insertions more and more often. Yesterday I caught him looking longingly at the turkey baster... When I sit he jumps in my lap purring and rubbing me affectionately. It was then in horror I realized my cat thinks I’m his gay lover, and that I’ve been sexually pleasing him for weeks now. Needless to say the sexual tension between us is palpable. How do I let my cat know that I’m not gay, but still like him as a friend?

Way shorter and more satisfying in an action game. In Pokemon after the attack animation you have to sit through the HP bar draining, the text telling you the enemy fainted, the enemy faint animation, maybe some failure of a witty line from the other trainer if they're an important character, then them sending out their next Pokemon. It may only be a few seconds but during that time you're not doing anything, not preparing the next attack or running to the next challenge or defending from the next enemy, you're just waiting.

Pokémon has stagnated brutally since XY came out in 2013. In the last 8 years, there has been 4 new main series games and 2 major DLC, yet mega evolution is still the last exciting thing to be introduced in this franchise.
I have been an ardent Pokémon fan for a good decade now and it sucks to see what the franchise has become. I have played and completed every mainline game from Platinum to USUM, but once the national dex controversy hit and after finding out megas would be cut entirely (absolutely the best gimmick and should’ve been a main series stay), I knew something was up. With the series' massive hardware upgrade, there’s no excuse for the games being as ugly as they are. The games are too easy (mandatory exp share and now affection as of BDSP) and the formula, outside of Legends: Arceus (god I hope that game ends up being good, graphics aside) remaining pretty much unchanged since forever. I will forever miss the gen 4-5 golden age and hope Pokémon can get their act together before they remake gen 5.
Gen 6 was my first game, and I’ve only played it along with Sun & Moon. I loved 6, and thought 7 was alright, but I never played any of the previous games. I’m also hoping that the Gen 5 remakes will capture the spirit of the original, because I would love to experience one of the best entries in the franchise.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team got a remake in 2020 and it used megas. Because megas are rad. Mad respect

I grew up with Gen 1 and 2 and that shit was easy at first, and then it really started to get more and more difficult for real, crossing your fingers you didn't get critical hit. And you couldn't overlevel your pokemons too much because then they wouldn't obey you anymore! It was all strategy and planning.

@@purpleprawler9286 what i mean is that when i see things like hollow knight or other indie masterpieces, it makes the game feel lazy, like the corners were cut everytime it was possible, that combined with me just growing out of it and the easy difficulty makes all of the pokemon games unappealing and lackluster for me

That last pokemon, the turtle Pokemon, razor leaf was 4 times effective against it. It's water rock. With a stab bonus it took 6 times more damage from Razor leaf...and it lived. That was Boros right there. Except for the part where it did damage. Saitama would have never taken damage.

I remember when I thought these games were going to be really good because of te character designs and gym things, but after the 6th gym I just stopped playing and regretted buying the game digitally
I had lots of fun with them you do know not every game has to be dark souls right especially one marketed for kids and teens
@@obad7633 The game has a lot of issues other than difficulty, especially as one of the biggest game series in the entire world. Also, play an older pokemon game. Games can be aimed at kids abd still be hard, and teens especially like harder games
@@obad7633 I'd be fine with easy games that are fun. I had an okay time with SwSh but most of it was due to nostalgia and the bare minimum of being a Pokemon game on the Switch. They were disastrous from a quality perspective.

@Voltage, dragon guy personally I found the halved Pokedex has given me the opportunity to use Pokemon I've never used before, like Steelix, Abomasnow, VikaVolt, and Dusknoir. Plus if we're being honest. Pokemon was always pretty easy. There are dozens of videos going over the game breaking glitches in generation 1, like how to get a level 100 Nidoking before Brock, and how Psychic types Were insanely broken. From what I've found, the fun of Pokemon comes from using a variety of Pokemon to see what works, and with the cut dex, it's forced me to be more creative as I've said. You can think what you think, I was just giving my opinion.

Krauser Past Generation 4 the franchise really went down in quality and the games were just dumbed down for kids who do not even play Pokemon.

@@lardassbutternut3060 It's a lot more unbalanced now than it ever has been. Certain Pokemon are almost necessary to use now. I didn't like 7th gen that much, but it was a lot easier to use the Pokemon you wanted to instead of what's meta. Instead of balancing things, they just made things a lot more uniform, and that's kind of a cop-out. Some new things they added were cool, yeah, but we'd be far better having a meta with more power creep than a lazy attempt at balance by removing characters, instead of just improving old ones, or fixing issues with new ones. I mean, they got close last time. Pelipper, Dodrio, and Dugtrio all got a lot more play after their buffs in 7th gen. I don't see why they couldn't just sit down and do that again. It's annoying that they tried to even use competitive as an excuse to not finish their game, and continue to have the gall to not even fix the problems with it. I wasn't arguing with you or anything, I was just giving you my perspective as a long-time competitive player.
