How To Build A Mini Max In Four Hours

On Saturday July 5, Muskoka Seaflea, in association with the Toronto Antique and Classic Boat Society conducted our "Seaflea" building workshop for kids. Taking place at the Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre workshop, our "Dream Team" constructed two Mini Max seafleas in just four hours. This eight minute retrospective documents our process during that morning.

Nice boat! What did you use for a motor? How big was your steering wheel?

On the Mini Max boats you can used anywhere from a 5 hp to a 20. A 9.9 is a perfect starter motor.

What weight of fiberglass cloth did you cover the hull with?

To keep the weight down we used 4 oz. We only glassed the seams not the entire hull.
