Thanks for the reaction Dave. This song was commissioned as the ending theme for the anime "Grendizer U."
Anime themes that they have been commissioned to do are always a bit different to their normal arrangements and are more a wall of sound with fast slightly less melodic solo's. But, Misa's bass tone- to die for.
I had a similar feeling on first listen... after a few more listens I found it to be quite interesting and I now walk around singing "bring the thunder" :). Thanks for the reaction and welcome back to Band-Maid! Hope to see more!

Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid again. Great breakdown and reaction. Hope you do more Band-Maid. It looks like there's a lot of Band-Maid which you have done with shows off more styles of the band. This one may take a few listens to get into, as you said, lots going on...lol. Try "Hate?" official live video from the 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena. I don't recall if you've done any of their power ballads, but if you didn't, "Daydreaming" OMV is fantastic. Something also a bit different, "Influencer" OMV, really does blend genres. PO!

This song is so catchy and yet so experimental! Love where Saiki goes falsetto with Islamic flavour, the little Koto or Sitar coming in after the first chorus, One of my favourite solos by Kanami and the final assault from the Band-Maid gang and what a finish!

There are a few anime songs they've released so far that sounded a bit similar but this is the first one that got me on first listen since Glory.hh
It's a theme song for an Anime aimed at an older French market.
Nice reaction Dave, as others have mentioned this is an ending song for a mecha anime, so it's a bit different from their normal songs (they try to match the songs they write for anime to the feeling of the anime). Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid again. The collaboration between The Warning and Band-Maid has already taken place in Japan with The Warning's first tour where they played a dual bill. They played the song they wrote tpgether at the first performance and it will be released with Band-Maid's new album releasing some time this summer.
Anime outro song. Not a time to stride into new frontiers. Do variations on what you know will work. Please the client (since they usually have a significant say in what the end product sounds like). The band's goal here has to be primarily to attract new fans. "Trip the light fantastic" is as likely to alienate those listeners as it is to draw them in. If you're Band Maid in this scenario, you provide what is expected (while taking a few creative chances), play flawlessly, take the check, smile, and remember to say "Thank you". Given this context, I think that they did just fine. Band Maid Forever!!!!!
