    Very useful video, its good that you had time to video it. I am in the process of removing the whole dashboard to get access behind the steering wheel / speedo area where my son witnessed some smoke before losing all electrical power! Nightmare, but a compilation of all these little individual video's is priceless, thanks.

    Thanks for a great viedo but I found a lot quicker and safer way to remove fascia put a thin blade screwdriver between cd player and trim so you have no risk of damaging dash, I was shocked 15 radio changed and no damage to either old radio or fascia panel, worth a go, Again thank you for a great video Jon

    I'm a complete newbie to cars and just bought an old i10 with the same radio is in your video. What should I look for when buying a replacement? DIN 1, 2 or something else?
    Great video. Will definitely refer to this when I have a replacement.

    • @churchhouseclassics
      @churchhouseclassics  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      your choices as it is your car. search for the aftermarket cage first. whether you want double or single DIN will depend on that. Not really my speciality really

    Brilliant. Thanks for the heads up. Managed to get the old "Log" radio out and fit a flat screen android based radio. Much better!

    ¡ Thank You ! I hate these 'snap in and bugger the next one' assemblies. This video saved me a lot of aggro, you don't do motorcycles (?) but the Honda Deauville is totally made up from 'click and slide this way and that' panels, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    Excellent video very entertaining but in the end I found that I had to go in between the radio and the surround with a dinner knife and the bugger came out without too much fuss. Kind regards

    • @markslade9722
      @markslade9722 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I did the same yesterday, I found the gap trying to go between the fascia panel and dash far too tight, so did as you did and went in with just a food knife between the radio and fascia panel, which was a lot bigger, and it came out pretty easily, this video is very helpful though in showing the position where the clips are located, just have to source a new radio and fascia now to replace the totally dead original unit from new, 09 plate car, so I suppose 12 yrs is not bad.

    how would you wire in an after market radio into an i10. would I just cut the two 8 pin iso connectors off and wire from there? or is there more to it. This would really help me out if u know because there are 0 videos on wiring the i10 radio for the old model radios. Thanks

    • @churchhouseclassics
      @churchhouseclassics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In the UK we have adapter looms for most common cars and also most radio setups. I guess they are available online too. I would avoid chopping a factory loom unless there was no alternative. The biggest issue with the I10 is finding a cradle that doesn't look horrendous to mount the new stereo into

    Hey mate, this video has been super informative. Do you know if the air vents can be removed and put into a replacement fascia suitable for a double din unit? Can't seem to find replacement ones with the vents built in.

      glad it was useful, I have seen a couple of different double din cages for these cars, google "hyundai i10 double din" some seem to replace just the head unit section and others replace the whole shebang.

      I tried to remove the stereo in my wifes 2012 i10, but failed. My local mobile fitter came round, and confirmed this car was one of the most difficult to change the stereo. He dropped the glove box and pushed the fascia out from behind. Also, you will have 2 options of replacement fascias. Get the one that replaces the whole fascia, including the air vent surrounds, not the one that just replaces the space left by the old stereo, because they dont fit very well. I hope this helps someone.
