wow thanks a lot, i’m so glad you guys did this video :) was also especially glad to see black travellers pop up right on the first search! thank you, i’ll be tuning in for more videos
Hey world traveler! Do you like traveling in the offseason and having popular destinations all to yourself? Let us know your offseason experiences below!
Oh wow!!!! What an awesome video!!!!! Personally i would choose the off season, it seems so magical without the crowds!!!! Thank you so much for the incredible quality of your video!!!! I enjoy it so much!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! Santorini is special when you have it all to yourself. We do want to go back one day when it’s a bit more lively.
This was one of the best videos on Santorini. Great to see offseason and I admire you guys for doing it. So informative and well done I am your newest subscriber. Keep up the great work.
We agree! We loved having everything all to ourselves. We only wish we could have taken the volcano tour. Other than that we got to see and do everything.
Having every corner to yourself for the best pictures and finding easy parking sounds amazing! It looks windy but not that cold to visit in February somehow. I love SANTORINI! Can't wait to be back again! P.S. Finika was our favorite :)
I would love to visit Santorini in the off season. We went as a cruise stop and it was nuts! The water there is so clear and pretty but I bet it would be way too chilly for swimming. That's too bad about the boat tours and the weather - we were there and it was 40+ C and soo soo hot. Great to know about the affordable accommodations too. You cracked me up with the David statue!! 😂
Thank you so much for this informative video! we are going to be there on a cruise in November and this was very helpful for planning what we want to try to see and do!
Hard to say. That's right on the cusp of when they start preparing for high season. You might have a bit more luck than us on restaurants and such, but I think it will still be a bit quiet. Don't worry though. You will still enjoy it!
This video is really helpful to get the expectations correct when going off season. Just a question, what was the month you went? I am hoping March would be a good time to visit
@@LucasWorldTravel Thank you so much. I am going in November with my husband, teenage son and parents and was trying to get a sense of how cold it maybe.
This was February. Late October there’s a chance that more things will be open than pictured in our video. But it’s true many things will start closing for the season in October.
I don't think I'd want to travel there if it's cold enough to have to wear a coat. The main reason I go on holiday is for the sunshine. It would also feel a little bit creepy to be in a ghost town without seeing anyone at all and with most places closed. The only advantage really is that it's cheaper.
Fabulous Santorini! Another spot on my bucket list. My wife would love it off season, as she prefers the quiet too. I don't know if we can handle all the stairs though. Wonderful showing. Well done, my friends. Big like and full play 👍. Thanks for sharing and wish you both a wonderful holiday season 😀.
Thanks Jim! I don’t remember the stairs being too bad. Only if you go down to the port in Thera or the beach in Oia, but there are ways around that. You can fly in to avoid the port and go to other easier to reach beaches besides the one in Oia. There’s plenty you can drive to with no stairs.
Hey guys, you certainly covered a lot to consider for traveling during the off season. We would LOVE to be there without the crowds to have the views all to ourselves...and also to be able to save some 💸 I had no idea though that so many businesses would be closed! That statue of David 😁🤣
Yes Santorini is always lovely. Just know in the off season a lot of restaurants and activities are closed. The good thing is you won’t have to deal with any crowds.
I'm staying in Santorini right now during the off season. Maybe it's just bad luck but the last two days have been very cloudy and cold. Great restaurants and enjoying the hot tub at our airbnb. If I could I would have waited to come in either May or September. If you like nightlife and warm weather than this definitely isn't the time to go. You'll probably find yourself very bored.
It’s true, if you are looking for a happening social scene then don’t go in the off-season. The off-season is more for peace, quiet, and unobstructed views.
@LucasWorldTravel You're definitely right there. To update we ended up renting a car and explored the island. This is a MUST if you go during this time of year. Everyone said online that we'd need an international driving permit but the rental company accepted my Canadian license. Lots of beautiful views at a pretty affordable price. We got one day of sun and of course the day we left there wasn't a cloud in the sky haha. That's just the luck of travelling sometimes.
The dessert were on point and we really liked trying the ftira. We hear the rabbit is really good too so technically you could eat your way through the country!
It’s so interesting seeing your visit here. We spent 6 weeks living on the island of Santorini in Oct/November 2020 and it was around 23°C each day. It was so quiet during our visit too we loved driving our little car around to see all the spots without crowds but still beach weather! It looks a lot colder in February but still beautiful.

Glad to liked it! Welcome to the channel!
Thanks, I hope to go there in April, I hope it still quiet then. Great video, cheers !
By April everything should be open and the crowds shouldn’t be too bad. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this Santorini off season vlog. It's nice to travel there minus the crowds!😅😊

Yes, we want to go back in high season to see the difference. I must admit it was nice having the place all to ourselves though.
Wooow, landscapes are great

Glad to hear that was actually funny and not corny. We definitely will have to go back in season though!
Wow! You guys are in Greece now...love it!
I love having places to myself, so it seems great to visit when it's so quiet!!
We agree! We don't regret going in the off-season at all. It's great to have so much beauty all to yourself!

Glad it was helpful! Enjoy Santorini!
I will be travelling on 16th March 2024 .. is it going to be this haunted … though I hate crowd but still .. I
Love all ur videos btw!!

This was February! We hear mid-March things start opening back up.
Awww...i've visited the ruins in Akotori...however you spell it...lol. Such great memories
Awesome! We love hearing your travel story. Glad you made it to Santorini already! How did you like Dubrovnik? I think you went there this year.
Congratulations!!!! Santorini looks so peaceful with the usual crowds!!! Honour to goodness, crowded places are something I avoid.
Yes it was a joy to have the place to ourselves!
Thanks for all info, where did you stay?
We stayed at an Airbnb in Finikia Village close to Oia. abnb.me/wMQH1ZgpkHb
I’m going for my birthday April 10th-14th. I hope a good amount of things will be open then
Yes, everything will be open normally by then. Enjoy your birthday!
Very helpful video. Loved it. Which month were you in Santorini?
This was in February. Enjoy Santorini!
@@LucasWorldTravel Thank you so much. I am going in November with my husband, teenage son and parents and was trying to get a sense of how cold it maybe.
The moving David statue 😂 we missed that one during our visit!
Maybe next time! 😅
Could you please let me know what month what’s this. Planning to go with parents in late October early November.

Yes! I love traveling in the shoulder seasons. Will go to Montenegro in Jan so hope it’s quiet!
We went in November and loved it! It was cold, but still gorgeous and very quiet!
@@LucasWorldTravel thank you for all the videos and tips that you make! Enjoy traveling as it is so addictive. 🙂
How is the weather in January ?
I imagine it would be the same as February, chilly and windy.
Would be helpful if you start off vid explaining when exactly things start closing down for “off-season”.
Google says November-March.
@@LucasWorldTravel Thanks, but I was looking for your personal insight/experience.
Greeting from Denmark, nice video. Santorini really seems like the dream destination. What happend to that little kitten at the lighthouse?
No idea about the kitten! There are loads of cats all around the island.

That statue of David 😁🤣
Yes, we were shocked by how much was closed too! We still had a great time though. David makes a great statue though.
@@LucasWorldTravel he really does 😁
Hi. I am planning to visit Santorini last week of December. Do you think it is doable with 3 young kids ?
Yes Santorini is always lovely. Just know in the off season a lot of restaurants and activities are closed. The good thing is you won’t have to deal with any crowds.
Hi! I’m going at the end of November, how many nights do you recommend 2 or 3? Thanks!
I would do 3 nights. There's still a lot to see and do even in the offseason. Enjoy!

Am planning to go on Dec 🌈
Nice! Enjoy Santorini!
What month did you go?
This was in February.
Where did you guys rent the vehicle from?
From Budget car rentals in the airport.
@@LucasWorldTravel you guys are the best! Thank you!
Did you also need to obtain an International Drivers permit or will they accept American Drivers license? Sorry for the additional question
@@goofdxes They accepted our US driver's license.

Wow 6 weeks sounds lovely! We had a few days that we got to 18 but that’s the warmest it got for us in February. It was still lovely though.
what dates did you go in October?
was everything open?
Hi what about December?
I imagine December would be similiar to February. A lot of restuarants and activiites will be closed for the season.
Thank you so much for sharing ❤
You’re welcome!
How warm is Greece in April?.
Google says 55-70 F.
How many nights do u spent in santorini during the off season?
I think we were there 10 nights. We're slow travelers so we tend to spend longer in places than the average traveler, fyi.
WOW...😲
