Remember when everyone thought Madison was gonna end up becoming Alpha ? Yeah good times she was promoted by the previous writers as the final antagonist which was teased in season 3 but now .. oh well 😅

I kinda liked that Idea at that time. But I knew little about Alpha then (i stoped reading the comics around negan's arc). I love the Alpha we got in the end. She is more ruthless and scary.
To be honest I wouldn't want Madison to kill Alicia or for Madison to die, a point in favor would be that she would have done everything to protect her children even if it means killing innocent people.
You're damn right about it being the saddest show we've ever seen. Despite what flaws they have, season 1-3 of Fear is personally my favorite content we ever got in TWDU. I think this show would have been amazing if they kept Erickson. I like to imagine season 3 was the real ending of the show and that they all just died at the dam at this point. Never seen a TV show get butchered as badly as Fear was.
I agree once Nick was gone it lost its way, such a shame Nick was one of the most honest characters ever
I love season 6 but I totally agree. Season 3 was the series' peak.
Season 6 actually reminded me a bit of S3 for some reason. I think It was a strong antagonist, good characters and a bit of believable crazyness
Morgan did not save rhe show. He was one of the main reasons I hated anything after S3. I hate Morgan.
I agree.. I don't hate Morgan but he is extremely overhyped and annoying..
I think Erickson had a better call Saul pacing, slow at the start but as he got into later seasons I think he really would have ramped things up to real quality
if the Actor for Nick wanted to leave they could of had Madison kill him instead and Alycia could kill Madison

Ok no one in history has said Fear 1-3 were flawless but I still see and agree with your point. If anything, it felt like it found its footing and then boom, utter disappointment for years after. How on earth did Ian and Andrew get rehired so many times???
this show’s downfall has to be one of the biggest tragedies I’ve seen, this final season is just…so bad

Sadly I don’t think a lot of people at the time had understood that it was supposed to be a villain origin story. I remember a lot of people just disliking Madison because she wasn’t doing the hero’s journey like Rick and his group, and made decisions that benefit her and her family.
It is a shame how this show turned out, while it’s true the first three seasons had its flaws, it was at least coherent and had a consistent narrative of people losing themselves. If only we had a Time Machine for this.😪

The original vision of the show had merit. It would have been nice to have it played out. I would have diverted a bit in this vision with including the CRM from Season 6. Bringing Madison back from the darkness as she is taken prisoner and sees the full monstrosity of the CRM'S experiments and colony purges.
I thought that the “Fear” was going to cross over into the Walking Dead, and Madison would be the “Alpha” and the rest of them would be the Whisperers. Imagine this.

You're absolutely right. So much could have been done with this show. Sometimes if the writers don't care or if they aren't fans, I wish they would put out feelers for fans that could give ideas. I can't tell you how many times I hear a fellow fan talk about a storyline that would have beat any of this s#it we've been watching.
The viewer numbers of Fear were collapsing, that's why they changed the plan and transferred Morgan to Fear.
I remember watching the pilot with my mom and we loved the first three seasons. Unfortunately after season 3 ended and we watched the first episode of season 4 I think she didn't like it as much and stopped watching but I still stayed watching and it makes me sad how the first three seasons were great and it just took a huge turn in writing.
Hoping the final two episodes as much as I know won't be written good at least has a good ending that would at least be satisfying.
I remember from the get-go, the one thing I wanted from Fear was a crossover, or I would've tapped out from being bored. Then, when Morgan got announced to be joining, I was super excited.

The actor of nick would have stayed if erikson was no fired. Sure he missed being home but the main reason why he took the job because he loved erikson vision and when he saw how different fear would be he felt it was pointless to stay.
It's less sad if you just pretend fear got canceled after season 3 due to budget reasons or whatever, and ignore that s4-8 even exist
I really wanted to see how the original showrunner would go with the series even tough i love season 6 and most of the new additions to the show (john, john's father, sarah, wendell, jacob, naomi, josiah and even virginia and her sister and the cult leader, we had some other good villains and antagonists too). As I would do anything to see Darabont's vision for the main show be real.
But I dont know how to feel about Madison being a villain. This coud easily fall into the "crazy woman" cliche. I dont know, could be cool if it was done right. But would feel so weird to see her kill her kids when she was built from the beginning to protect them at all costs. Even Alpha didnt had the balls to kill lydia and she was a sociopath and a narcisist. Madison was just trying to survive with her family. She was more of oportunist and manipulative (she was a school counseler so she could read people). I really like how they made her that way in early seasons and dont like her so much in the final seasons when she was changing her mind out of nowhere from one scene to another (but this was about the show being rushed so much).
I kind of like Travis and Nick's deaths. Travis' was very shocking cause he was confused and scared and was kind of hard to watch cause it felt so realistic to me. And he was still in shock to from everything that happened before. Nick's was very realistic too, the actor did and amazing job and I end up crying everytime I watch. The directing was awesome too. Not everyone dies an heroic death and that one of the things i liked most in fear. Felt more raw.
Now I agree when fear tried to make the characters too much of a "nice guys" most of the time it went cliche and we got some cheessy dialogues. But I really like the ideia of rebuilding the world doing small things (kind of like aaron did a bit in alexandria) and i think i makes sense in the long run. But it could be made better, have more of that duality we had in early seasons.

Technically Madison did kinda become a villain when she returned recently but it was done horribly lol the writers just aren't any good..

1/3 of fear is still my favorite wd content. I remember watching the first episode of s4 in a movie theater for the crossover event of the end of s8. I left confused and let down that dam was just skipped over for Morgan to join the show.
I completely agree it makes me so sad when I think about how it could’ve been amazing 🤩 but instead it fell apart 😢 and all of the actors that put their heart and soul into fear the walking dead deserved much better 🥹

Dwight and Sherry had so much potential in this show
Them reuniting was one of the high points of the show. I didn’t even care that Sherry was in some silly group that wore masks.
That kid ruined them. It was all about honoring that annoying kid. No real character development.
I heard that Althea & Isabelle was supposed to return in Episode 10 but both of the actresses were unavailable.
I remember FearTWD when it started and own the Blu Rays ( except season 7 😂😂 can't handle that baby crying). Yes it was gonna be called Cobalt😂.
Cliff a.k.a. Travis left way too early to do Avatar. Frank a k.a. Nick wanted off the show ( probably because Dave Erickson was leaving).
I think fans were expecting way too much from Fear, because TWD ran from the comics ( and being many of us were reading the comics before the original show started) some fans were not used to Fear being different .
I totally agree Dave Erickson had a different approach and it would have been good. I actually liked FearTWD up to the second half of season 4. The second half of season 4 was watchable. But season 5 is where it went down hill. Season 6 was good, but season 7 was a disaster like season 5.....eye rolling.
I'm sure Dave Erickson's eyes rolled too🤣😂.
Ian and Andrew are NOT consistent and should never write again...they need to find a different profession 👍

Its waaaaaay better. Dead city is the worst one in twdu. Even Tales and World beyond are better.

I also heard that in the Dave Erickson version they didn't want to kill Troy at all or wanted to bring him back in season 5
I heard that when he knew he was leaving - he decided to kill Troy so nobody could mess up this character he created. But Ian and Andrew found a way!
The only way to save the final scene is if that fat kid who knew something was up in the first episode shows up and saves everyone.
Oh, this video makes me so sad to have to think about how much the vision changed.
Villain Madison was always an idea I hated with a passion so I'm really glad they scrapped it. Her being at odds with everyone is as close to that as I want to get. Making the lead the villain is a terrible plot device. What Erickson did with Chris in S2 was terrible enough.
It sucks that if it wasn't for COVID, Alicia would've been way more prominent later on (the pandemic totally killed ADC's availability for filming after S5).
Not with Madison coming from the dead or callbacks to the crappy Madison’s Family seasons that’s for sure!

Starting from season 2 it was clear that the only Fear in FTWD was created by the stupid decisions and stupid interactions among the survivors. To me and for those reasons FTWD was never really a good show. Who knew it would get so bad in later seasons that the first few seasons now seem good. In real time, it really never was that good.
Turning Madison into kumbaya my lord lady in S4 was so out of character. Just ruined her whole progression as an antagonist. Ofc the other characters were dumbed down as well.

Ohhh... If we could only go back to the end of Season 3 and start over from there. The show has ended up sucking far longer than it was good.
You bringing up the "help" boxes they leave out which was not liked by most fans, for some reason they brought back. It made me think of the characters that died off screen from starvation meanwhile Luciana has so much extra supplies she's able to give it out for free? Silly lol
True. But I dont think they were near each other. Luciana worked for padre and the others were far way with Strand. Daniel and the others had to use a boat to get to where Strand was.
I really liked the first 3 seasons of fear twd but after that i agree with you it turned to total shit. Just look at the title screens and anyone can see the drop in quality. You're right its just sad were the series went. Thanks for the video i enjoyed it

That wasn't the original plot line. The original plot line was to do with. How the virus was created and how it got release into the atmosphere.
It was to take place in Europe, have seven season. End just as the outbreak is just being to take place in the United States.
Then it suppose to pick up with Fear the Walking Dead. Which is suppose to be written as progress go with the series.
The one that was going to be film in Europe and The United States, was call The Walking Dead:Patient Zero. Both series was going to be film at the same time. With characters being in both series, like Strand, Daniel and Travis. Madison husband, John Clark would be in Patient Zero only. Strand and Daniel would been Villains. While John Clark and Travis would been FBI agents.
The plot was that Daniel Wife and Daughter were sick with a deadly virus. He want looking for someone that could help in curing them. That where Strand comes in. He tells Daniel that he knows someone that was working on a formula in France that could cure any sickness. Daniel except Strand offer. Meanwhile John and Travis are sent to go after Strand and stop him. But, Strand has men and women working for him. And they are keeping John and Travis from stopping Strand in getting the formula from one of the scientist that is working on it.
While Strand is getting the Formula from the scientist. John and Travis show up. A gun battle breaks out. John get kill and Travis get wounded, Strand gets away., but drop one of the formula, which break when it hit the ground. He takes the one he didn't drop to Daniel, whom give it to his wife and daughter. It works, it cure them from their sickness they had.
Meanwhile, the formula that Strand drop begin bringing the dead back to life. Starting in France..

@@NiqRipple That is the original first plot line. The plot line that Dan mention was the original second plot line. Both were rejected. The first was rejected because it were cost to much money.
The second one was rejected, because they didn't want the main character to be a villain. Also, they wanted the characters from both series to cross over and interact with each other. They mean AMC.
None of this is true lol Erickson always had the same story that he wrote and developed with Robert Kirkman.

Actually I didnt have problem with death of Travis at all. I was shocked at 1st but i honestly thought Travis was in his limits already. There wasnt anything unique ..more to do with him. I even quite liked S4a and i would be okay with Madison dying!!! if Nick and Alicia stayed and remain as main characters. The thing is after that writting was just on another level + actor who played Nick wanted out probablly because he was told something different by D.Erickson and wasnt overally happy with new writters and their "vision". After that hit Fear never recovered and i just been there to watch it every week but deep down i knew it was shit. Alicia never was leader figure in TWDU like she was in The 100 for example. I really dont rate Strand that high. I think that he should have been killed off in season 2-3 because he is the most overated character in my opinion

The show has just became a hot mess and not is a good way. I have hated this season with the first half being the Lil Moe show and now whatever the last half is. I will just be glad when its over.

I think the Fear writers decided somewhere along the line, that Madison was supposed to be more like Andrea from the comics. That was only one thing that wrecked this show. In the beginning, the story appeared to have Nick as the main stortline character along with Travis. The problem with Madison is the acting. It was never good, and there had to be reasons it was decided she was to be killed off. Maybe Frank Dillane decided to leave was because his storyline, and others, was being ruined. I hope NO ONE shows up in Dead City..except Dwight or Daniel in Daryl Dixon. The terrible acting would be an embarrassment to those actors.
Dude i dont care what dan or anyone says THIS SHOW IS AMAZING , in my opinion and the ending was really great.
