IMO, most want/need a car in a few weeks or 1-2 months ( since the car they have is having issues or they're moved or moving, etc). 3- most folks don't gave great credit or a big Down payment or are upside-down on current car. 4-Most folks are NOT savvy car shoppers like a lot of enthusiasts are. So, with all this details in the car dealership favor, they will get over on 90% of car buyers. BTW, im not a dealer or any affiliation, just have knowledge and know how the car-game is played. I think you got a great honesty, I paid $56K for mine. But I think you should’ve gotten the DCT that my opinion, it a beautiful car. Do the crankhub for the peace of mind, probably save you another $10K in the long run.

At that pt, interest rates had begun to climb. 2 things happened that day when I went in to secure the order. My CA met me at the door and said I wasn’t gonna be happy lol. The manager had tacked on 5 k. Keep in mind they had never said anything up to that point. I was on my way back out after going out of my way to get there. Then I told them the only way I’d make the deal today is if they give me the promotional interest rate that ended that week. They told me it didn’t count for M cars. I proceeded to bring up the promo on my phone.. the rest is history. Overall it’s a win because most dealerships in my area have a year wait just for an allocation. I got one in 3 months and not paying near the ridiculous current interest rates. People need to just quit giving money away. They need the sale more than you need the car. Be patient!

I mean yeah waiting till the price drop down is obvious but that doesn't mean that there aren't other people that are willing to pay the price and snatch it from you so yeah patience is good but will almost never work (speaking from experience) You were just lucky that you were looking for a MANUAL car in the US 😂 Ofc the car will be sitting there with no buyers..you saved 10k because 7 months went by and that's just a natural progression of the price..If I could wait months for the car to drop in price without nobody buying it before me it would be a miracle

Look for any defects on it. Rock chips, paint scuffs, any damage really and get it at the end of the month usually when you can drop the price on cars quite a bit cause they wanna get their sells in.
