I loved James May Lego house! So sad it had to be disassembled. I got to see him and the volunteers build it on television. It was so awesome! He fulfilled so many people's childhood dream that day!
It’s very common in the UK to buy old churches and renovate them into homes. The dumpster house didn’t make any sense at all except for maybe homeless people to shelter in.
People who live in glass houses.... How could they feel safe and comfortable while doing basic things like changing clothes, using the bathroom or showering?!? I couldn't do it!

That skinny house in Poland really got my claustrophobic mind reeling in a loop. I would have an anxiety attack living in there because it would feel like the walls are closing in on me.
The Church House is by far my #1 fav with the Glass House being my #2 and the Snail House being my #3. The imagination of these builders is amazing and forward thinking. I would be on Cloud ☁️ 9 to live in any of these. I'm 💚 with envy. LOL!
The inside looks like a place out of my nightmares. However, if the homeowner loved it, that's all that matters.

Years ago, in Playboy magazine, there was a feature of a "free-form" house in Texas that was unique and stunning. I've never seen it featured anywhere else.
My favourite is the telly tubby house in Pembroke. Wales.

Turf roofs can catch on fire in the Australian fire-prone climate in summer. Please check out the underground houses in the opal mining, very hot area of Coober Pedy in Australia.
Some of them would give one nightmares !

The turf houses were also build in the Netherlands, especially in Drente and Overijssel, my grandfather was born in one,

Now, let's see peculiar houses/places that were/are built for people with arthritis or similar medical issues. (That'd be me and obviously a huge number of others.)
In my area it's very hard to find accessible housing and it's difficult to get landlords to allow someone to put in just a simple ramp as they can say no. It would be nice to see more accessibility features. I also have disabilities and have worked with others with disabilities for over 20 years.
Some drunk will hit that round pod. Behind every speed boat is a drunk.

I can't praise the first house highly enough. So many of these designs are dis--allowed by building codes and zoning, which 'protects the value of the real estate' while it suffocates creativity.
True, although after living in a neighbourhood that included a house inspired by a literal train wreck, I can see how some would object to living next door to someone elses "creativity".
