Are the 3D printed components available on the internet, like Thingaverse? I've got both Arrow 2 and Elk antennas, but this looks like a good design if the 3D part models are available online.
Good Lord...now I remember why I don't care for the FM Sats on weekends! And yeah, the people that make repeat contacts are just taking up time that other people could use to make a contact.
www.igatemini.com/sat This device, controllable through a web browser on any wifi capable device, basically drives the radio, setting the up and downlink frequencies based on which satellite I select from the configurable list of "next passes" on the browser page. (The SAT box basically generates a feature/info-rich webpage-based Graphical User Interface.) It also controls the VFOs, adjusting for doppler effect. If I had a Yaesu rotator, it would control that as well. The thing provides a lot of other handy features too, like logging, info about current pass, map display, etc. I can use it remotely (away from an internet connection.) I'm barely using the full capabilities of the thing in these videos. For more info, there are quite a few videos showcasing the CSN SAT box.
Did you make your own element clamp like 3d printed? Cool color. I assume your next project is a cellphone holder with visor attached to your boom. Awesome job! 73 Jojo KM6EHD
Yes, the element clamps (thanks for that, I couldn’t decide what to call them) are 3D printed. MkII will be all the same color. Phone holder attachment is a great idea; I could use a counterweight! Thanks for the kind words.
Nice setup, Shalom de 4Z1KM 73 !
Very cool setup! Man those Tevel’s are packed, great job!

I keep meaning to write a detailed description of the antenna with a link to the STLs, which are not yet uploaded.

Nice video and good job with the antenna. I wonder what app you are using on your phone? Tim VK5AV
Thank you for your comment! I’m using an app called GoSatWatch.
Not sure what the SAT box is?
