I think people like uthappa who complain about this are the ones who actually suck up. All players ( except kl Rahul , Ashwin , Shreyas iyer ) who played for over 10 years were there because of their performances. Uthappa do you really think you belong in the middle order with kohli yuvrajs dhoni, Raina karthick etc ? Once in a while south lobby pushes paddikal Shankar's etc but they fade away. Same for thakurs and other Mumbai lobby cricketers. The real cricketers ignore all this and go about their work with dedication and love of the game like jaiswal
That's if you've played for India, or have had a huge massive famous career in domestic cricket. Most people from domestic circuits dont even get a normal job after cricket. Those people struggle. It's getting better now, with pensions and gov. jobs; but it didn't happen earlier, like in the 90s.
