Great video bud!. Awesome!. If you feel like it, could you do a video concentrating on making jerky from the point of putting it in the Masterbuilt. Temp, times, things to look for? Thanks in advance!
Great video! I like that you went through your full technique and focused on the small details. I haven’t made jerky yet, but I just found a working MES on the side of the road and plan to clean it up and make some jerky for my first cook!
Great channel!! I'm waiting on my Masterbuilt electric to be delivered. On one of your videos you mentioned using pellets. Would you recommend using pellets over chips? Or does it even matter?
Thanks Scott! Man that's exciting. Chips are definitely the way to go and they are what the MES is designed for. I often use pellets because I also have a pellet grill and it's annoying to have to buy both pellets and chips. The thing with pellets if you use them is be sure to just use a few every 1 or 2 hours. They are highly compacted and pack a lot of smoke flavor. If you just have the MES, buy the chips and don't worry about pellets.
@@SmokeTrailsBBQ Thanks so much. From what I read the electric smokers do not give off a lot of smoke flavor. I was wondering if throwing a few pellets in there couple of hours would bump that smoke up a bit. Can you get significant smoke flavor with just chips? Say on a 321 rib?
Great video. I used the recipe but added some stuff. It turned out AMAZING 👏. I added a teaspoon of smoked paprika, a tablespoon of garlic and a teaspoon of pricey pear honey 🍯. I also added 2 tablespoons of Secret Savage ginger mango 🥭. Seriously dude great recipe 😋
Also thanks for serving I'm a 13 year US Army Inf NCO. Loved training with Canucks always professional, and super reliable and friendly.
Cheers Michael and thanks for your service man. Loved working with the US Army as well in 🇦🇫 Afghanistan
As a Canadian I can confirm but lately our government isn’t

Nice work. Clarity and speed. 2 thumbs up!
What's the yellow handled knife you use on the silver skin?
Just a cheap henkels boning knife

I’m wondering.. if you need the leanest meet you need can you use Tri-tip?
I wouldn't waste a tritip for jerky. Best to use top round/bottom round/round/London broil
@@SmokeTrailsBBQ thank you
what kind of wood did you use?
I think hockory

I laughed out loud when you used the vegan cook books 😂
Jerky, the comfort food of Soldiers everywhere.
Great job Cuz!
I disagree, i love the fat in Chuck roast jerkey! Really good and great for carnivore diet, the more fat the more weight loss and healthier for me.
