I think your review is right on. Very accurate and fair. I’ve had my 939 SP model for 16 months and 5,000 miles and it is definitely a great second bike. I love it. Great power, sound (Termi exhaust), chassis, suspension, brakes, etc. I take trips where i trailer it to destination roads then ride and laugh a lot on those roads for a few days then trailer it back home. Like you, my bike for distances is a touring bike.
10:55 You said it right, the front brakes are so powerful than expect, has to adjust the braking level space closer to the finger for minimal braking comfortable
Great review man - your style is so to the point and quick, i love it. Having your woman give her thoughts is awesome! This bike popped into my brain for no reason the other day so I thought I’d check some reviews on all the versions of it. I would agree, great second bike...this is the bike I’d rent if i ever visited Italy or something...i seriously would buy the 950 SP right now if i could.
I watch a lot of reviews and particularly like this one. I appreciated hearing the passengers opinion since my girl rides on my bikes. Also, I just bought this bike used and did not have a proper delivery so there were some things that I learned such as how to keep the brights on LOL, and how to use the helmet straps under the seat. Ive had the bike for about 200 miles and I can say that he’s very accurate on the description of the ride style. This is the type a review that I would have liked to seen before buying the bike. However I love my Hypermotard! Got my sub.
Garland, much appreciate the feedback. It's been my goal with these reviews to show how all the stuff works on it that a lot of the larger publications neglect to tell you or gloss over.
Good review. These bikes are awesome for a summertime evening blast on the backroads! Great for our English roads. I’ve given up with superbikes now as these are just as fun but with much lower speeds. Where are my keys.
Nice Review. I owns the Ducati Hyperstrada 939, the Ducati Hyper Motard sister in Touring Mode, it comes equipped with sides bags, more comfortable seat especially for the passenger, Wind protection in front and it is convertible to Hypermotard, so you can use the bike for touring and as Hypermotard. Same exact engine and mapping. You should try Ducati Hyperstrada and you will note the difference... for sure you will tell that the Hyperstrada is the first bike to take in the garage ;)
Hey bro, could you also review the new Hypermotard? Your review is one of the best I've ever seen, I can't believe I've not seen this video before. Hope you can make that review happen, it would be great!
Agree 100% on that cheap ass gas cap, mine doesn't even lock, and this is on a SP. Yes, being up that high wind is a problem, a small wind deflector does wonders on the freeway was my case.
Great review, I like the format, especially the switchgear stuff and under seat goodies. I think that If I can be a hooligan on my 1290 or a Multi 1260 and tour, why need a HM. :) Ride safe.
Your wish has been granted. I just reached out to Triumph of Harrisonburg on my facebook page and they said "Come out when you can and we’ll make sure you can put a few miles on a new 1200!
Looks like fun, might have to try that one. Real nice road there, by the way. Do they have the 1100 Scrambler up there? Looking forward to the demo day....
Having ridden the 821 and the Hyper, there is a big difference in the two bikes' characteristics. If I were buying one, I'd have bought the 821. IMO it's a more refined machine.
They worked well for me in stock form. Pete Moravek pushed it hard at VIR with no issues as well. As for aftermarket cartridges, when it comes to street/track bikes, I've always had good luck with Racetech. I believe the make a drop in for it.
The saddleheight makes u tip toe. But it doesn't matter in America because the roads are open and the pavement is at the same altitude with the roads. Get that bike to go around in countries such as mine _ Vietnam and you'll know how freaking hard and horrendous it is that it can make you fall.
While I don't doubt that's the case, I spent the last few days riding on and off-road on a 530lb adventure bike with a 35 inch seat height and my dirt bike has a 38 inch seat height. All I can say is, ride a bike you feel comfortable riding.
I think you mean “ride it, so what’s the legal driving age these days? I thought it was 16 depending on your state laws but I could be wrong. By the way, this is definitely not a good first bike. LOL.
Emissions control is a cash grab. Gas engine emissions controls and standards are designed to maximize profits while delivering a set standard emission control rating. What a joke
So a multistrada has been designed for street and off road and the hypermotard is just for the road. I’ve read the multistrada is a great bike for both short trips and touring. If that’s the case why bother with the hypermotard?
😂😂🤣🤣.. heard on the wheelie machine..if money was no option , I would absolutely own one of these..but for that price and to not be able to main bitch it because it makes me miserable on the interstate? For that money I'd take a sport tourer and save my pennies for a sumo... appreciate the great review..in theory I lust after this machine.. truth is.. I dont see myself ever buying one..
The Husky is probably more of a true supermoto since it's lighter and uses a single cylinder engine. I doubt top speed on the husky is anywhere near the Ducati but I'm pretty sure on a supermoto track or for supermoto style riding the husky will do the job better. The Ducati I think is more like a big naked with supermoto styling and some characteristics. For example you can't really take one off road like you can the Husky
Duke 790 would make fair comparisment and it would probably outperform hypermotard being at least 20kg lighter and only 5 hp weaker, suspension is better adjusted and it's alot cheaper
Good looking bike but reliability = 0 Got one in 2014 and since the first month the only things i got in the very rare moments driving this fun bike was headaches. Month after month i had problems so for me Ducati one time only...
Statisicly the time of accidental drive - was very apparent, according to an 11 incremental busy,to bad I can't give back the life of police and they can not shofer my bike niether.Obvious judicial associated drive - Peace Out,please not by my night of social........
Unreliable, overpriced bikes, that pretty much sums it up...plus...Ducati considers ethanol to be a gas additive and its use voids the warranty, good luck with that.
Not sure where you are getting your information about ethanol but it's incorrect. "The vehicle is compatible only with fuel having a maximum ethanol content of 10% (E10).Using fuel with ethanol content over 10% is prohibited. Using it could result in severe damage of the engine and motorcycle components. Using fuel with ethanol content over 10% will render the Warranty null and void." That's standard for just about every motorcycle I've ridden or own.
" You're either gonna love it or hate it, me personally I'm split on it " lol
😂
As a 939Sp owner i must say this is one of the best hyper review out there.. good work.
Thanks Leo!

You said it right, the front brakes are so powerful than expect, has to adjust the braking level space closer to the finger for minimal braking comfortable
Excellent review. Thanks for packing the important features of this bike into your review. Best, Noel

Winchester has some awesome riding. I used to ride my BMW all over Skyline drive and everywhere else.
I watch a lot of reviews and particularly like this one. I appreciated hearing the passengers opinion since my girl rides on my bikes. Good solid review Mario, a great looking bike too, I would like to try 1 but don't think I want to own 1, good job pal.
Good review. These bikes are awesome for a summertime evening blast on the backroads! Great for our English roads.
I’ve given up with superbikes now as these are just as fun but with much lower speeds. Where are my keys.
My dream bike!

My dad has this bike and I love to ride it!
It's definitely a fun bike to ride.
@@2WR yep! He drove us for 5h yesterday :)
Pretty good and thorough review.
Man, I have to say.. it looks like a fun bike.
Brilliant review, well done 👍
Outstanding channel & content.
The shadow against the road 🤘
Thank you much! Really appreciate it!
Hey bro, could you also review the new Hypermotard? Your review is one of the best I've ever seen, I can't believe I've not seen this video before. Hope you can make that review happen, it would be great!
1st, thanks! 2nd it's always a possibility. It all comes down to what the dealer has on hand to loan me.
Cool bike, nice exhaust note. I bet someone out there has a tune for smoothing it out down low.
Considering it's just a higher compression version of the Multi 950 engine, I would think so too
Loved your review man! up top!
Great detailed review Mario. Solid points from Kristen too.
Thanks Colin!
Agree 100% on that cheap ass gas cap, mine doesn't even lock, and this is on a SP. Yes, being up that high wind is a problem, a small wind deflector does wonders on the freeway was my case.
You just don’t know how to ride properly is all.
Super clean and crisp rewiew man! Superb work done by you. Keep it up.
Appreciate it.
First time coming across your channel, liked your review! Subbed.
Much appreciated!
I was turned away from this bike when one of the reviews said it was super uncomfortable and your SO just shot that down.
I had a 1100cc water cooled hypermotard, that thing was dangerous at low speed. All my close calls on it were almost always at low speed.
When I rode one (the 1100) I had to keep the clutch and front brake covered at low speeds at all times.
Very detailed review! Love it :)
Great review, I like the format, especially the switchgear stuff and under seat goodies. I think that If I can be a hooligan on my 1290 or a Multi 1260 and tour, why need a HM. :) Ride safe.
Thanks. I think I'm going to stick with his format from here on out. And you're right about those two bikes.
Mario, think you can do a later review on a Triumph Tiger 800 or 1200. I'm curious of your thoughts on the bike.
Your wish has been granted. I just reached out to Triumph of Harrisonburg on my facebook page and they said "Come out when you can and we’ll make sure you can put a few miles on a new 1200!
Great Video man!
Thanks!
what country
Looked Foward to that Ducati purchase of Hypermotar 939.
You can get a windscreen for it from Ducati
Excuse me ! !Example If I have Height 1.73 ?? I used it ?
Excellent review! Thank you
Great review. Thanks for sharing!
LukeTheDuke93 wow u rely know your bikes😐
I love the look
Shout out to Killswitch Engage
Looks like fun, might have to try that one. Real nice road there, by the way. Do they have the 1100 Scrambler up there? Looking forward to the demo day....
Yea, take her for a spin. As of Saturday, the 1100 had not yet arrived but should be in before the demo day.
Great review!
Thanks Bryan
that bike is the mutz nutz awesome
I currently own a 2017 821. 2020 is the year I buy a new bike. But I'm not sure this is much of a diffrent of what I allready have.
Having ridden the 821 and the Hyper, there is a big difference in the two bikes' characteristics. If I were buying one, I'd have bought the 821. IMO it's a more refined machine.
How much of a compromise are those non-adjustable front forks? Who makes decent cartridges that can remedy the stock fork situation?
They worked well for me in stock form. Pete Moravek pushed it hard at VIR with no issues as well. As for aftermarket cartridges, when it comes to street/track bikes, I've always had good luck with Racetech. I believe the make a drop in for it.
i wonder why american versions of euro bikes, at least ducati and ktm, don’t have led indicators while the euro version comes with them stock
Who knows? They change them up for different markets.
As a second bike would you prefer the HyperMotard or the Desert Sled?
Desert Sled. If I didn't do such long distance trips and did a lighter touring 3-4 day trips, I could see the DS being my primary bike.
Did you notice any heat under the seat area or on your right leg especially at lower speeds?
I did on the Monster 821 but not on this bike, even with just regular jeans on.
Perfect bike for anything but the interstate highways
To the point, nice review
Wow nice buck dood
Nice bike. Too expensive for a hooligan bike.
mica H here in italy they use this as a hoolingan commuter

Isn’t the oil cooler in direct line of stones and crud firing off the front wheel?
Odd place indeed, destined to give problems.
701 Husky is a good primary bike
how old i must be to drive it 18?
You can't afford it pal
I think you mean “ride it, so what’s the legal driving age these days? I thought it was 16 depending on your state laws but I could be wrong. By the way, this is definitely not a good first bike. LOL.
nice review
Bike should be a lot lighter, that's seems way heavy for 2019
Yeah, it does. The Euro 4 (soon to be Euro 5) emissions aren't helping anything.
Virginia looks exactly like upstate New York
I sat on one of these and found out I'm short :(
😂😂 It happens
I would not call a 204kg bike "fairly light". That's heavy AF imo especially for a "motard"
Does it has fuel reserve
It's fuel injected to no actual reserve but does have a low fuel light that kicks on with 1.05 gallons (4 liters) of fuel left.
Thank you
😂😂🤣🤣.. heard on the wheelie machine..if money was no option , I would absolutely own one of these..but for that price and to not be able to main bitch it because it makes me miserable on the interstate? For that money I'd take a sport tourer and save my pennies for a sumo... appreciate the great review..in theory I lust after this machine.. truth is.. I dont see myself ever buying one..
That's where I stand on it was well. If money were no option, I'd have one in the garage. The damn thing is fun though
How much this bike bro
$12,995 in the US. I never mention prices since it varies market to market,/country to country.
The crew 2 brought me here.
The 701 Husky is more fun, faster, lighter!!! I know i own both
Michael Kastner that's why they make after market parts chump lol you are a hater 😷
I don't believe the husky 701 is faster. This bikes probably less than 100 lbs heavier...but has another 40 hp!! I've ridden one...tons of torque!
I had a 2016 690 Enduro which is the same bike but orange and it is not faster than a 939
The Husky is probably more of a true supermoto since it's lighter and uses a single cylinder engine. Nice 👍
Kereeeennn,,, 👍
Anybody see this kind of bike in CHIPS or just me
Simply said : they still didn't change anything on this bike , they haven't even put a fuel meter on it...
Still cool
Ride left side
Good looking bike but reliability = 0
Got one in 2014 and since the first month the only things i got in the very rare moments driving this fun bike was headaches. Month after month i had problems so for me Ducati one time only...
Definitely not a long distance bike
Mantap
If you don’t get an SP with the Termi Race Kit your missing 1/2 the potential of the bike!!! It will do 145mph, just saying
Ummm... that's not a KTM, bro:(
It's not...but it is European.
7,777 subs:)
Nice review! Good stuff THERE. Just a little less spec talk about the bike and more history talk about the model 😊
NWhat are you talking about the review was awesome!
Husky Nuda enough said!
Statisicly the time of accidental drive - was very apparent, according to an 11 incremental busy,to bad I can't give back the life of police and they can not shofer my bike niether.Obvious judicial associated drive - Peace Out,please not by my night of social........
Haha no shit dude I live in winc. Small world
yep...
너가 왜 선글라스 끼고 나왔는지
알겠다
Sooo chips
Its to Heavy!!!
Lol, you’re clueless if you think this is heavy!
Cant stand girls reviewing bikes. 😊
This motorcycle is very dated by now
Unreliable, overpriced bikes, that pretty much sums it up...plus...Ducati considers ethanol to be a gas additive and its use voids the warranty, good luck with that.
Not sure where you are getting your information about ethanol but it's incorrect. Not a great vid. Still just as undecisive of my opinion on this bike
Not a great comment. "Undecisive" is not a real word. Perhaps you meant "indecisive"?
1.19 advert no thanks stopped watching. you're to greedy for me thanks
If you got an ad at 1:19 that was TH-cam’s call, not mine. I have it set for after all the specs & features. But thanks anyway for the insult! 👍🏼
Awesome review!
