"This is Jannie, she's grumpy," she says while approaching a traumatized lioness in a 6-foot chainlink enclosure....NO KIDDING?

No tiger should be 1100 pounds or more. The poor thing is obese because he was overfed and has never had enough space to run around for exercise. None of these animals have enough space.

There are animals, like the Axolotl, that would have been extinct if not for the pet trade, but some of the pets people keep is ridiculous. What i find extremely disconcerting is reticulated pythons as pets. Burmese pythons are huge, but contrary to what people say, they have a very pleasant disposition. Retics are bigger, and while i wouldnt say theyre agressive, by no means are they pleasant! But if you look online, there are hundreds of them for sale! With dozens of breeders, not to mention private breeders. They even have all sorts of morphs like a ball python would. So who are the people buying these snakes? I assume Floridians, and they'll soon be a member of the everglades ecosystem once they get out of hand, or the owner goes broke buying farm animals

Most animals become extinct because of humans
Think about that before talking about saving species at home

There are several yt channels with very well mannered retics. Most of the ones people have as pets are prob kept in too little of enclosures without climbing or hiding opportunities. I agree those people have no business keeping retics even though they are breeding much smaller ones now with the dwarfs and superdwarf island localities. But there are several very responsible loving retic keepers that do everything in their power to give them enriching lives and they should be able to do so.

Thats the thing- THEY AREN'T MEANT TO BE PETS. A seemingly blurred line can be seen between TRUE sanctuaries and animal hoarders. Just because one slaps a the word sanctuary in the title doesn't cut it.

Scary to think someone like the 1st lady is allowed to even look at a Tiger. 1100-1200lbs 😂. That tiger is 450lbs at the most. I spent half my life working with tigers and although it was an incredible experience and a spiritual connection I just don’t agree with it anymore. I worked with them I didn’t own them. In my case the owner took incredible care of his cats but in the end it’s all about $$$$$$$ not saving the species.

No offense a dog and cat is also an animal. All animals has their own temperament befor getting any type of pet read up on it get more information as once you get one as their owner you must be in charge for them therefor only irresponsible owner wouldnt read up on an animal or getting as much information as they can about the animal prior .
Its like dog bread they are all different, evan the same bread the personality of the dog itself could be different.

If that was my wolf, l would put a mussel on him and have him in the house every day.
If you live everyday in the house with the large cats one only from the very beginning bottle feeding never hurting or being cruel they can be very lovable pets because you're part of the pack and theyll see you as mom or dad. To have big cats you care for in cages, keeping them well fed is important, and It would never be safe if they had been raised in a cage suffered from hungry or ever abused in their life. Will they be friendly to everyone who visits? NO! And no one should ever be allowed in the room that hasn't lived every day like most aggressive animals! When l was a kid in Salem Oregon OR, my neighbors had two lions and other exotic animals. But they were in horrible shape. They were so skinny. He'd walk him through the field and he did get out a few times. The first time l was playing with my goats, and l saw him running in the field, and l pushed the goats in the small goat house, and l could see him walking around through the cracks. I wasn't scared because l didn't have the sense. I would go over and play with her, and she'd take me in to see them, and the ammonia smell from their urine would make your eyes burn. Their were separated cages only like 15'×15' probably because one might have tried to eat the other being so hungry. It was horrible! The second time he got out l was playing in front of the house and l saw him running my way about a block and a half down the gravel rd between our houses and l ran about the length of a half a block in and called my big sister to see the lion's at the living room window. We leaned on the couch, watching him face to face through the huge living room window like a foot from the glass and that was a little scary because his head and eyes were so big. But he looked so skinny. It was so sad. I get sad every time l think of them. I cider have fed them my goat or big sister🤣🤣 Shortly after someone must have reported them, and they were removed with the other exotic animals. They were really scummy people and after she showed me the lions she took me out to a freezer about 75' from there house out in the field and opened up this huge trunk feezer and it was a frozen gorilla!😳 She said we could play with it till it would start to dethaw😳 I swear on the Bible, this is true. I need to go down to The Statesman Journal and see if they have an article on it. It was like 1973-1974 on Sunnyview Rd. Salem OR.

Hmmmm interesting story, you do understand that to put a muzzle on a wolf is just as cruel
Also wolves are pack animals which is ruled with a strict order throughout the pack and for you to keep a wolf you need to be Alpha and assert dominance when needed as every alpha is challenged and they smell fear and weakness.
As for your bottle feeding idea that has already been proven it doesn't work as people who have done this have been attacked and killed by hand reared big cats. They are wild animals and born predators, that instinct always there and can be triggered at any time
as for your story if lions had gotten out in those circumstances and were that hungry who caught them to put them back in there enclosure ?? Plus you and your goats would have been dead as it would of found a way in as they have been known to enter houses in Africa and take people from there home and a block and a half for a lion to run he would have easily caught you even if you only had half a block to run
A Grizzly can close 100 yards on someone in seconds and there a lot bigger than a lion
I think you need to watch a lot more docos on predators and what they are really capable of
