Hello Taylor, I love how you break down the prices for us. Thank you for doing the research! It was surprising how inexpensive the prices were for short term. I am planning on staying anywhere from 3-6 months, so far Malaysia seems like one of the most affordable places to go and stay.

Great video Taylor! You showed two units in Miami Green in Penang; we stayed in the second unit you showed for 6 months. It was only US$500 per month when we stayed there, but it was during the MCO and we got a great deal since tourism was so low at the time. We loved our time in Miami Green and would stay there again. The thing we liked about that unit was that it didn't share a wall with another apartment, so it was very quiet. I loved hearing Earl Gray express his opinions during the video, it sounds like he gives two paws up to all the places you showed.

G'day Taylor, I have booked a 4 bed / 3 bath two-story house in Palau Tikus, Penang for ten weeks from December to Feburary. The total cost is $2080 US, ($3160 AU). The house is 200 metres from Gurney Paragon Shopping Mall. I am looking forward to living in Penang rather than just visiting for a short visit.

As an adjunct to the hair treatment you are using, try this.
Buy a large potted Rosemary plant and a small bag of cloves.
Strip one branch of the Rosemary leaves and add a couple of teaspoons of cloves.
Boil up with tap water for 15 minutes. Keep adding water until you finish with about 3 cup of liquid. Leave to cool and strain off the liquid. Massage liquid into hair and scalp 2 or 3 times a week. Leave to dry naturally and do not wash out for 48 hours. If you are alone when you massage the liquid into the scalp, put a plastic bag or shower cap on your head for a couple of hours to keep your hair and scalp wet a bit longer. This is a slow treatment but you feel and see some effects from day one.

Hi Taylor, so good to see you again and you look good!
I noticed that Mini Studio 8 is on LRT (light rail transport) Walk so distance from city centre doesn't matter. Easy travel.
Love your short term rental videos, I'm Malaysian and I'd love to travel short term too. Definitely Penang. Also East Coast of the peninsular, Malay traditional culture and way of life, the clean and beautiful beaches stretched all along the East Coast is some thing I miss.
Your short term videos reminded me to go travelling.

Anything less than USD$50 a night is cheap. In California where I live, 3-star hotels are usually > $200 USD . My monthly electricity bill is about $250-300. Thank you for spending the time and sharing, Andrew. Edit: Forgot to mention, makes me sooooo eager to move to Thailand! Hopefully soon!

No offense Andrew but Tune Hotel is part of budget airline, Air-Asia. You might have to pay for extra air-con and facilities, like flying budget airline but they might have packages. Studio Armani Permatang Pauh is not on Penang Island but on the mainland - far away from Georgetown - not really for foreigners. Bayan Lepas is near the airport but relatively distant from Georgetown.

Great video Taylor. The (probably irrational) fear I have with these high rises, and especially the ones near the ocean is the remote possibility of them collapsing like the Surfside condominiums in Miami USA. But the smaller complexes don't have any resort facilities I presume, and not really geared towards renters.

Maybe then live a year in Southeast Asia to see how it fits me. . I like what I've seen on Kuala Lumpur, You make KL sound very good on the wallet too.
