Even though its still unlikely valve rigs cases, when speaking about a possible advantage valve gains from rigging, youre not taking into account a gambling addiction (Just like a casino) and artificial desirability of the items. Giving someone a highly desirable item might make them feel "lucky", as seen in casinos and incentivize further gambling. Also, even though the items given to the player dont matter much to valve, they have a monetary interest in keeping some of them rare and desirable to encourage a further "Skin culture". The player will naturally try and obtain rarer items, making them focus less on the amount spent than on the singular case theyre opening, as that could be the one item they want. Also, rarer items feel like more of an "achievement" or something special than just any bought item, as you can see by people feeling more sentimental about their "self unboxed skins". If every skin was just able to be bought for 2.99, what prestige would there be in having a ruby doppler? Lastly, this also serves to increase prices in general, making them more commission on the steam market.

I don't know if I have opened enough cases but I've never gotten lucky with it, and the best thing I got from operation broken fang drops was a dark blue I believe, and two light blues if I remember correctly.

About opening cases, Im conviced there is a system behind it. Im playing cs since 7 years now and every once in a while, i bought a 20€ steam gift card and opened cases, ofc I never got something good out of it. When operation shattered web came out, i connected my credit card to my steam acc, and opened a case, got a really nice knife, and a couple of cases later some gloves. I think the strategy i assume is behind that is, that the moment you make paying very easy, you are more likely to buy more things (like in casinos, that you get drinks and all to your seat so you never have to stop gambeling) so steam has more of an interest in users that have a connected payment method since they are more likely to invest more. So baiting with high tier skins early on is one smart move form steam... no conspiracy, just business

About that rigged cases: - my first 3 cases were pink/pink/purple (ak red laminate/ p2k ocean foam/ mac graven)... on 7th case ive got M9 Urban FT... before 10th case Ive opened AK Aquamarine FT. - one of my friends got M9 Tiger Tooth in his 2nd case - other friend got Butterfly Crimson BS in less than 15 cases - lastly other friend got Huntsman Marble Fade in less than 10 cases (im only talking about my close friends)
I believe the skins theory about youtubers and starters is somehow or partially real, when i started i didnt unbox any cases until i decided to open like 2 i think and a got a blue one and a purple one, the one with the worm for the awp, and i decided to keep openning. After those, i got a blue five seven and after that one i unboxed a startrak blue ak47 with 4 stickers worth like 10 bucks more or less (it had 2015 sticker so now they must be worth a whole lot more), some unboxings after i unboxed a mac 10 suovenir worth similar to the ak i previously mentioned. After these, i kept unboxing, not much or consistently but unboxed like 10-15 nore and havent gotten anything purple, or pink, or even with stickers or FN
I work with statistics all day and if someone opened up csgofloat DB they would see the unreal amount of skins pouring into the game every minute, Yes I know some are from in-game drops and currently, people are using stars, but I'd argue even right now, with an operation going on that 85-90% of skins entering the game is opened from cases. I just ran a timer for 1 minute and found that 592 new skins entered the game, went from 600,114,530 - 600,115,122 so roughly 592, given the estimate that 85% of those came from cases were left with 503 skins (530.2 to be exact but can't have .2 of a skin). If a knife is .26% and the odds are roughly 1 in 400 that means that roughly 75, I got 75.45, knives are pulled every hour, knowing this it shouldn't be expressed as exceedingly rare to open multiple knives when opening up an extended number of cases in my opinion.

Never saw any player since the start of professional CS (like around 2002?) that had that many of suspicious scenes than flusha. You can think whatever you want, but imho he had hacks at some point in his career. If anyone else knew that, I don't know. And keep in mind, like years ago, there was crazy stuff out, like in-mouse driver incorporated silent hacks and such and literally no one could catch that with any tool or admin standing behind.

So I have opened about 1000 cases in my life and I've managed to get 3 knives, all in the space of 6 cases haha, and these were after I picked up csgo again earlier this year. I have no reason to believe they are rigged and just think some people are annoyed that they haven't opened a knife in 20 cases they bought because the keys are really quite expensive for the majority of items that you will get from them. Top tip - just buy a knife, or whenever you're going to open cases just buy a skin of the same value from buff or something like that, over time it will build up and you will be able to start trading up for a knife. But there is also a thrill to opening cases that just persuades me more than buying skins off the market, when I opened my 3 knives it felt like I was in a simulation. After 5 odd years with no case luck and then bagging 3 of them (cant explain how good it felt hahah). Zipel for example, opens thousands and thousands of cases, at one point he went 2500 cases without getting a gold, I think that says alot about whether its rigged for youtubers.

I think the reason people think cases are rigged for new players is because people only hear from the people that got something good when they started. I opened a bunch of cases as a new player and didn’t get shit. I’m not gonna tell everyone I know about it because it’s not interesting. Very good video sir. I have 5k hours in CSGO and after around one thousand cases over the past 7 years, I opened my 2nd and 3rd knife ever. Both within 100 cases of each other. It's just slots and the only factor is probability.
If valve rigged cases for newer players it wouldn’t inflate the amount of knives because for every new player who gets “lucky” there’s people out there who have opened 100s if not 1000s of cases without a knife to balance it out. You also mentioned that valve has no reason to rig the cases but that’s also not true because if you rig the cases for new players you create gambling addicts who, based on their first experience, will believe that cases are a better value than they actually are and keep purchasing them. Haydencf3 is my friend irl and I play with him to this day and to this day he hasn’t gotten shit. Call it coincidence but the only good things he’s ever unboxed out of cases were on brand new accounts.

Imean for it to all make sense, someone has to win a shit ton while others (like myself) has to lose a lot. after well over 200 cases unboxed i have never gotten anything rarer than a stattrak awp phobos, like a 1.8% chance and technically beeing super unlucky is just another term of being extremly lucky but without actually being lucky in the sense that the odds are aginst you. a long long time ago when CSgo got first skins and cases Ive ignored it, after few skin drops Ive sold them, Ive accumualted few euros by this, Ive decided to buy 2 keys, opened 2 cases and got M4A4 asimov and some shitty nova skin. M4A4 was from second case and I was like OK, Ive sold it for like 20 euros and bought some games in a sale. Now I was trying to get operation sking for stars, after spending 40+ stars nothing worth more than 3 cents. My friend opens few cases every year just for fun, he gets completely nothing.
Honestly I saw TOO MANY cases where my friends or people I know had quite new account/smurf and opened good stuff in it, and I feel like the same thing happens when you take a break from CS:GO. Obviously it's just anecdotal evidence, but I got way too much good stuff on smurf in the first 20 cases + operation And even on my old account, after a 1 year break I opened a case and got my one and only gloves I ever got. So I have opened about 1000 cases in my life and I've managed to get 3 knives, all in the space of 6 cases haha, and these were after I picked up csgo again earlier this year. I have no reason to believe they are rigged and just think some people are annoyed that they haven't opened a knife in 20 cases they bought because the keys are really quite expensive for the majority of items that you will get from them. Top tip - just buy a knife, or whenever you're going to open cases just buy a skin of the same value from buff or something like that, over time it will build up and you will be able to start trading up for a knife. But there is also a thrill to opening cases that just persuades me more than buying skins off the market, when I opened my 3 knives it felt like I was in a simulation. After 5 odd years with no case luck and then bagging 3 of them (cant explain how good it felt hahah). Zipel for example, opens thousands and thousands of cases, at one point he went 2500 cases without getting a gold, I think that says alot about whether its rigged for youtubers.

I think the reason people think cases are rigged for new players is because people only hear from the people that got something good when they started. I opened a bunch of cases as a new player and didn’t get shit. I’m not gonna tell everyone I know about it because it’s not interesting. However the guy that got a knife worth 500 bucks from one of their first cases is going to tell everyone

Very good video sir. I have 5k hours in CSGO and after around one thousand cases over the past 7 years, I opened my 2nd and 3rd knife ever. Both within 100 cases of each other. It's just slots and the only factor is probability.

If valve rigged cases for newer players it wouldn’t inflate the amount of knives because for every new player who gets “lucky” there’s people out there who have opened 100s if not 1000s of cases without a knife to balance it out. You also mentioned that valve has no reason to rig the cases but that’s also not true because if you rig the cases for new players you create gambling addicts who, based on their first experience, will believe that cases are a better value than they actually are and keep purchasing them. Haydencf3 is my friend irl and I play with him to this day and to this day he hasn’t gotten shit. Call it coincidence but the only good things he’s ever unboxed out of cases were on brand new accounts.
When I first started playing CS I opened 2 knives and a pair of gloves (worth about £500 total). Not saying that proves anything but it’s just another anecdote.

I do not think it's rigged for new players BUT, at 15:40 you're right they don't care what you get out whether it's 3c or 20k$, that's actually an argument in favor of rigging, because it doesn't cost them anything to give you something nice, but would entice someone to keep spending that $2.50.

Love the video, love the fact that mass hysteria doesn't influence your views on the facts. One small thing I have to note is that Valve definitely has a (albeit rather small) interest in giving people high end skins. They do take a percentage of every steam transaction taking place.

Imean for it to all make sense, someone has to win a shit ton while others (like myself) has to lose a lot. after well over 200 cases unboxed i have never gotten anything rarer than a stattrak awp phobos, like a 1.8% chance and technically beeing super unlucky is just another term of being extremly lucky but without actually being lucky in the sense that the odds are aginst you. And people who are this type of lucky often hate one those who always get good shit and says its rigged or not fair and yeah its fucked but it is legit gambling. like the rarest knifes ever has to have been unboxed and some are so rare that makes the luck of many "lucky" case openers seem like a joke. besides this, anomaly as an example has opened a crazy amount of cases so it would be even more "lucky" or "unlucky" whatever u wanna call it if he never had like a good or a lucky day where he unboxed something worth a lot, even though that st ak blue gem is just utterly insane. imean we even have this example in real life, poor or "less fortunate" people always talk crap about the rich, even those who are self made and thats how life is, if someone is super poor, someone else is going to be super rich, just how things works, at least thats my opinion.
a long long time ago when CSgo got first skins and cases Ive ignored it, after few skin drops Ive sold them, Ive accumualted few euros by this, Ive decided to buy 2 keys, opened 2 cases and got M4A4 asimov and some shitty nova skin. M4A4 was from second case and I was like OK, Ive sold it for like 20 euros and bought some games in a sale. Now I was trying to get operation sking for stars, after spending 40+ stars nothing worth more than 3 cents. My friend opens few cases every year just for fun, he gets completely nothing.
Honestly I saw TOO MANY cases where my friends or people I know had quite new account/smurf and opened good stuff in it, and I feel like the same thing happens when you take a break from CS:GO. Obviously it's just anecdotal evidence, but I got way too much good stuff on smurf in the first 20 cases + operation
And even on my old account, after a 1 year break I opened a case and got my one and only gloves I ever got. And saying Valve has no reason to rig them is just wrong, obviously a new player is more likely to keep opening cases when he gets a good thing from his first 20 cases, not just 18 blues and 2 purples.
