Thank you for this simple to follow, concise video. I recently retired and am home during the day now and needed to learn how to use this and have a reference for reminders. I have been able to use this daily during the cold months.
Had 2 of these stoves , a small one in my first house and the middle size model in my second house ! Both were great and had the internal fan that really moved the heat around ! Wish they still made them !
I also own the large dutch west stove got in in 2000 love my stove we have used it all these years as it's our only heat. Just had to replace a few parts just love the loo of it and it's heat.
I own a large Dutchwest stove exactly like yours which I had now since 2000 . I always loved the look of this model stove & just how efficient it is . First time I actually saw a small Dutchwest but sure do like the compact size . Thanks for sharing this video
We have a smaller house (1600 sq ft), single story. This stove works great for us. The front of the house will be a toasty 80-90 degrees, while the back of the house will be in the 70’s. While the outside temp is in the 40’s. So yes this size works great for us. Thanks for checking out our video!

Nice looking stove! You should try the top down fire starting method
Get a good pair of gloves. I jave structural firefighters gloves and can resch into the stove and grab a log to reposition if need be.
