Thank you for showing about your wood stove. We are using ours full time now here in northern Idaho.

I have the same stove (in France) and not only was the round metal catalytic combustor totally degraded, the air distributor under it (the donut shaped thing) was melted and open. Replaced all of that. One key thing: the thermometer on these stoves is critical as one should only direct the smile towards the catalytic unit when the heat is high enough.

Thanks for the insight on your stove. Mine lasted about 7 years but should have been replaced 3 to 4 years ago. They tend to puff out smoke from time to time when they get restricted. But I think they are great stoves. I hope we can continue to get parts for them years from now. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin

Good video, buddy. I have the 2462. Basically exact same stove as yours, just one size up. It is a great stove, but you do have to feed it nothing but very dry, fully seasoned wood. Two things I've learned to keep that expensive catalyst lasting a long time: (1) the catalyst really does not like it when it gets up to 1100F or whatever and then "cold" steam from the water in wet, unseasoned wood at just 212F hits it. The metal one may tolerate the shock a bit better, but it is really hard on it. (2) stay away from burning anything except dry wood and maybe a bit of clean paper to get it going, the catalyst can get permanently wrecked really easily from wax cardboard, Christmas wrapping paper, even glossy color magazines, etc. Good tip on the stove pipe, I am going to replace mine now this summer too, because it is getting up there. Better safe than sorry.

Popped over here from Southern Country Living channel, saw the beautiful Christmas ornament your daughter made for Calvin and Marie. Is she selling different ornaments, would love to know where to find them?

She does make them and sells some locally. If you are interested in something, you can email me at justinwscott76@ yahoo.com. I will let her know that you may be interested in some. Right now we don't sell online but you can talk to her and let her know what you are looking for and she can send some pictures of ornaments also. Hope this helps. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
